Why is no one talking about invisible Dive trails

Hey Everyone,

I'm kinda curious about the fact why no one is talking about invisible Dive Trails and that squads are some times popping out of nowhere while dropping.

I mean it happened to my team several times that me and my teammates were looking in every possible direction while dropping and we didn't see anyone,

but then out of nowhere there is suddenly a team right next to us.

Its possible that we are just blind and dumb, but I red that this is apparently an issue that many people have:

So I'm kinda wondering if this will ever be fixed or if this is even a problem on Respawns end.

@Mr_Moodswings It’s not invisible dive trails. It’s more invisible players.

It happens when players are really close to eachother and either the server makes them invisible for you or whatever, but yea, it’s an annoying problem.

I don’t think they’ll do anything about it tho since it’s not really high priority. It’s a nuisance at most (at least for me).

Btw, you’re English is just fine 😉

@pastaclown I'll never do anything of the sort! I'm barely doing my 10-bucks-spend-several-seasons-ago BP! They'll get no further monies from me :P

There was an issue with missing dive trails a while ago, but that was fixed. I can't recall seeing teams without dive trails ever since, although sometimes they are barely visible and fragmented or discontinuous when there is a lot of prediction error. Anyway, there are a few tricks to become less visible and get that surprise effect (but with higher risk of becoming cannon fodder in the first few seconds):
go straight to the ground then try to glide as much as possible at low altitude;
jump late and go in a different direction (even reverse), as most players consider as threat only the other teams that jumping at about the same time with them;
agree on a drop location but split early and follow different paths, use turns, slow down, spiral, etc., to make your dive much harder to follow.

We got this situation yesterday.
We dropped to repulsor as the dropping was way off. We thought Noone would ever fly that far and during the dive we would clearly notice them. (Dropship started at Octane Arena and flew towards crashsite)
We landed and started to loot as suddenly hell broke loose.
We had seen no enemys in a 360° Radius around us and the flight took about 1minute.
But somehow TWO teams were on this path as well and we couldn't even see or hear them landing.
But that was the only situation that week so far.
I'm not a network engineer but I think this could be caused by a wacky connection of the party/drop leader.
