@a24zxc5411011abxI don't think SBMM is as extreme as you make it out to be. Perhaps top 5 turns into that, but it's not that bad. Highest rank I've made is platinum and I literally just played a round 6 pred trails come out the drop ship. I rarely win in these lobbies or do well in them. But I'm no pro and definitely not predator material. Best I've done in ranked is Platinum 3 or so.
The suggestion of legend changes.. I can't say I would not care if they nerfed wraith into what Caustic is now and buffed Caustic into what wraith is right now. But.. If they do that, I'll simply start to play as a Caustic main. It's no different than the nerf/buff guns. The Hemlock in burst mode was OP a while back and so was the G7. I'd run a G7/Hemlock combo and shred lobbies. Now the Havoc is OP. So I run a Havoc/99 or Havoc/Prowler combo. The point I'm making, they can buff/nerf what ever they want.. I'll play what ever is the best at the time, even if the advantages gained are minimal.
They could come out with super OP snipers tomorrow. I'd walk around with the strongest CQC gun in the game and the strongest Sniper in the game.
Ultimately I'd like to see balanced guns and legends. So it really boils down to the players skill and not the gun/legend they pick. How ever balanced guns can be tricky to achieve. You can make a gun extremely strong in mid range, and very weak in CQC. If a player opts to run two mid range guns and gets melted by an R-99 in a CQC fight, that does not mean guns lack balance or the 99 is OP. Better example would be a Prowler player and 99 Player having the ability to go toe to toe, neither gun giving the other player an advantage.. Now you throw attachments into the mix and it complicates gun balance even more.
Balanced legends are another topic. Take Caustic yes in most situations he's not that great. But he can be extremely OP in very rare circumstances. Gibi is a tank and can be really OP in final ring. If that ring gets small enough that he can throw his ult down on all the remaining squads... He's super OP in that situation.
