@KelRiever I agree that the ranked scoring system is flawed, specifically, that it is taylored to campers and people who avoid fighting until final ring.

I thoroughly disagree, that people who get hard stuck at Plat IV are not bad players. They are. They aren't noobs per-se, but they ARE bad. They keep making their poor mistakes, bad decisions, bad drops, bad pushes, against other SKILLED players where that B.S. isn't going to get them into higher ranks.

You need to know what fights to take, and what not to. You need to not push a fight solo when your team isnt near you, or split off from them in the first place.

No matter how they change the system, you can do stupid s**t and still make progress up a few ranks. But platinum is when Ranked grinds ACTUALLY begin. Where your decision making, gun skill, positioning, rotations, etc all begin to matter. And if you still just drop hot like you did in gold, not because you needed to, but because you wanted to, you will consistently have -36 point games and never climb.

So yeah, if you're stuck at Plat IV, its cuz you're playing poorly. You're not getting kills, assists, or placement, and this is because you made bad decisions that did NOT keep you alive.

You only get to say someone is bad if you are higher than Platinum IV and are speaking relatively. Because bad means worse than average and that's not true statistically. Only in relation to another player who is higher rank.

That's a fair point, but what it is, to me, is still trash talking players. If you're good you're good, and then what you are being is a sore winner. I mean, if you're good, you shouldn't need to put other people down but that's what people do. Me, I do not care because I know the truth. But I know a lot of people get put off by such things and frankly, they are right to be put off by it.

Bottom line is Platinum players are completely above average players. You might be better than average and call another better than average player who is worse than you bad. But on an absolute basis, that is factually wrong.

Oh, and you are also definitely wrong about not getting kills, assists and placements. You can absolutely get all three on a regular basis and not go up in rank.

Trying to wrap my brain around your thought process is hard.

Yeah, plat IV players are aggressively average.

But if you cant climb plat, you're just bad. NOT in relation to other players. Not because someone is a higher rank, that makes you worse.

What makes them bad players is DECISION MAKING. They may have amazing gun skills and accuracy, but that doesnt make them a good player. Decision making, knowing roations, positioning. AWARENESS. Pushing smart, retreating, being a good squad member. If you don't do these things, you are bad at ranked, period. And if you do them, YOU WILL CLIMB PLATINUM.

Plat stuck players suck. And they want to get on the mic after they die, and talk * to their teammates calling them trash because they pushed solo 1v3 and their team didnt help. Probably cuz they didnt COMMUNICATE.

Communication, rotations, map awareness, tram awareness, positioning, gun skill, etc. These things add up to good players. These players can make Diamond even as a solo-que.

People who can't, no matter how average, are bad at ranked. And need to quit doing the same stupid things over and over that get them nowhere and do nothing to help their team.

Said it before and I'll say it again, Hard-stuck Plat 4 players are the worst player base in the game.

The title is kind of misleading. Alot of plat 4 players need the ability to downgrade to gold. Noob is subjective. If you can’t withdraw from a fight or have no game sense to not take on certain fights(you know open fights with your back and every side exposed) I will call you a noob.

I make diamond in ranked by slugging through solo and platinum. My biggest gripe this season with ranked in general is being punished on points for killing lower ranked players. Yet getting saddled with gold and silver players through plat that have no business being there. If you fire as soon as you see an enemy it is going to be a hard pass from me.

I used to get mad now I just expect bad teammates and play to my advantage. If that means leaving a teammate who hot rushed a squad by himself so be it. Games are meant to be fun and ranked is just to test your skill. Sometimes you win sometimes not.
As far as straight up boosting that is a crock of butt residue. I know it happens, discord when I was on there was full of players offering it. I don’t know about anyone else but I play to have fun and if I am not I find something else. I am using rank as filler now and then and I am leaving standard apex alone.
To sum up one can make it to plat and still be a noob, getting kills doesn’t signify anything. Gold hot drop get 4 kills as caustic or fuse in a poi where these legends are superior. There you just got positive points. Do that in plat and you may make positive 4 before getting wrecked.
