A proof
@CocoaHyena @You are relatively correct and absolutely wrong. Mathematically absolute 🙂
You mat think they are bad but you are saying better than average and good players are bad.
If you represent a large minority of the player group, which is what you are if you get Plat III or higher, then you are very good or better, Plat Iv players are good just not as good as you and they are much better than the average or below.
Sorry 🙂
- 4 years ago@KelRiever Um, no. Those stats are based on an average, including people who do not play ranked or very rarely do.
Literally ANYONE can make plat IV every single split no matter how noob they are if they put in the time to climb.
I'm about done with this convo, agree to disagree ✌️- 4 years ago@CocoaHyena Dont try to argue with him, he believes the 20% of bronze players are not capable of climbing to silver...

@RevMainPls Don't hide behind other people, either you can talk to me or you don't have a point.
Now, let's talk, While what you say sounds absurd on the surface, it points to the same for real problem of a certain perspective. Yeah, mathematically you're right, no loss means easiest to climb. But you know what? A lot of people CAN'T if you look at the stats. And that is sad in one way, but also yeah, sorry, part of the stats.
Probably, it's more a matter of time. But it does take time, and some people are BAD, by absolute definition. Bronze is a small category of players who play ranked and yet don't or actually cannot get to silver, for whatever reason that may be. And if you are silver or higher, you are absolutely better than a bronze player there is no question about it.
So, what you say, is actually completely accurate, even though you were trying to be sly.

@KelRieverwhat I think is a difference between what you and @CocoaHyena trying to say is that:
- you take Apex community as an exclusive entity, see its rank distribution and compare only this player base vs itself. Apples vs apples. Then sure you can't argue that Plat players are better than Gold etc.
- @CocoaHyena on the other hand I think is comparing Apex player base vs whole FPS/BR player base. Apples vs apples and different apples.
For example - if you take a 1st-grade math class and Apex community is 1st-grade children then you can say that some of them are better at math than others, yet if an adult comes into the class (rest of the FPS/BR community) it is clear that adult is so much more superior in math than ANY of 1st graders that in turn makes them all bad at math which is actually true.
In Apex you see "adults" in form of players like me who jump into Apex and go straight into high Plat/Diamond and you objectively can't make an argument that it is me - the player who has not played BR before, has not played FPS in a while, etc. - who is super good, gifted, because clearly, I am not - I am noway near regular masters/preds, I am average in other shooters and I have not played in a while.* you might make an argument here that hey Masters and Preds in Apex are just ~1% of the player base (or whatever) so you are comparing yourself vs elite. Yet I think the reality in Apex is just that it has too huge player base which is in the absolute majority really bad at the game which dilutes the significance of Masters/Preds. Meaning that if all the kids, noobs, players who are here to just have fun would quit the game because it would be super competitive and not fun for them we would be left with not 100 mil players and 1 million Masters/Preds but say 10 mil player base with still 1 million Masters/Preds (because they would have no complaints and stay) = boosting relative percentage to like 10+ and the whole distribution would shift heavily towards Diamond+ level players.
So it just leaves the conclusion that the majority of Apex community (including Plats) are just THAT bad, noob, lacking of game awareness skills that allow acts like me go straight into Plat/Diamond.- 4 years ago
