@CocoaHyena @You are relatively correct and absolutely wrong. Mathematically absolute 🙂
You mat think they are bad but you are saying better than average and good players are bad.
If you represent a large minority of the player group, which is what you are if you get Plat III or higher, then you are very good or better, Plat Iv players are good just not as good as you and they are much better than the average or below.
Sorry 🙂
Literally ANYONE can make plat IV every single split no matter how noob they are if they put in the time to climb.
I'm about done with this convo, agree to disagree ✌️
- 4 years ago@CocoaHyena Dont try to argue with him, he believes the 20% of bronze players are not capable of climbing to silver...

@RevMainPls Don't hide behind other people, either you can talk to me or you don't have a point.
Now, let's talk, While what you say sounds absurd on the surface, it points to the same for real problem of a certain perspective. Yeah, mathematically you're right, no loss means easiest to climb. But you know what? A lot of people CAN'T if you look at the stats. And that is sad in one way, but also yeah, sorry, part of the stats.
Probably, it's more a matter of time. But it does take time, and some people are BAD, by absolute definition. Bronze is a small category of players who play ranked and yet don't or actually cannot get to silver, for whatever reason that may be. And if you are silver or higher, you are absolutely better than a bronze player there is no question about it.
So, what you say, is actually completely accurate, even though you were trying to be sly.

@KelRieverI dont see the point of talking to you, i said what i had to say before and brought up a statistic thats shows a giant amount of players beeing bronze after over a month of the split, anyone that seriously believes they are trying to climb is delusional...
Most of thoose profiles will be inactive, the same can be said to alot of the silver profiles aswell
You seem to forget that we dont have placementmatches meaning all start on the bottom and everyone stopping after a couple of games will falsely influence the statistic. because they are not playing they should be excluded but they keep the rank so they stay in that statistic
But its okay, consider urself an above avg apex player.I from now on will consider myself a professional Football player because i played football for 9 years, and mostlikely i am better than 98% of humanity, but compared to actual footballplayers i suck. But by your logic i can count anyone into this statistic that ever shot a ball

@EREGDS well said. Correct, how you described yourself, is what I would consider "average" and why even average players can climb Plat. All it takes is some situational awareness, decent decision making, and hitting a few shots to climb to Diamond.
Personally, I consider a noob a level 100(ish) and below player, and a Vet someone at at 500.
If the argument is Plat players aren't noobs, thats probably correct. If the argument is that they are "average" I would argue they are well below average. And having a slightly more competitive atmosphere and RP buy-in per match sheds light on that fact.- 4 years ago
@CocoaHyena Average isn’t an opinion, average is the middle by definition. So they aren’t noobs or average.
I get what you are saying but it’s really just supporting my point. If you are representing roughly 25% or less of the high end of the player base, your perspective can be demented if you call other players below you or bad. It doesn’t mean you are yourself a bad player at all. But it’s a wrong place to refer to the rest of the player base if you keep talking about it like it is established.
