Will I still get my Diamond rewards if i demote back to Plat before split?

My friend was telling me that I have to end at least one split in diamond to get the diamond badge/trail/holospray. I had made diamond three times during season 16 split one, but ended up this season...

    @ImCalabreezyYou get rewards for the highest rank achieved in either split. Your friend is wrong.

    The only exception to this is pred ranked. To be considered a season pred you have to end one split in pred. This is because there are a limited number of preds.

@ImCalabreezy The reason you give is why they don't force you to be in at the end of split. They want you to keep playing.

Your friend unfortunately is proving a bit untrustworthy or someone he knows is.

    Thank you, @EA_David. I had previously read this (which is were I got my correct information), but I believe his argument was the “wording” and or “fine print details”. Its nice to have some clarification, especially after someone stands their ground that hard on a claim. Have a great one!

    Then how come I didn’t receive my correct rewards from last season? I hit master both splits but didn’t get the animated badge. It’s been nearly 3 months, how is this not fixed? My tag is V9 SneakFPS. Console is xbox
