Where is the new content to play? Skins are not content.
@KyldenarThe producer said that there’s somethinf special around the end of the season but I’m too burnt out with the empty promises.
Okay people seem to be excited with this event especially for a 4th year in a row LTM.
- @Cheese9Man People like the train, but hate everything else lol, they need to reduce their prices of everything if they really want to show the community that they care. It feels like promises were just made to give you reason to buy stuff, I’m betting it’s overhyped and is just a change that they should have made much sooner, like custom matches. Whatever they bring it cannot make up for all the other things. I dislike the artificially increasing bundle prices the most, stop bundling skins with gun skins or emotes or whatever, have it all sold separately.
I mean this should say something.
- @Cheese9Man Well, they aren't pulling me into the event because there is nothing I can earn in gameplay that I want. None of the skins appeal.
New players will enjoy it, OG's like myself, not so much.
Unfortunately, all I see here is a money grab with a recycled event.
They now have hidden the dislikes, wonder why lol, the backlash is very negative on Twitter...
Also, why would they neglect a skin for Vantage when her planet is covered in snow is beyond lazy.
The train event is fun, even though, yes, it's old at this point. Which is why, seriously, I wish they'd have done something else. Really missed opportunities, like bringing in a new winter map for Control or somesuch. Sometimes it doesn't take an entirely new event, a creatively done existing mode could have been wonderful.
Buying stuff, known as a 'Collection Event', is like the funniest name for selling stuff ever. I mean, like it's MY PRIVILEGE to buy stuff from Respawn and, what, make their Christmas season good? That's not an event.
What is missing in these game industry things, though sure, I do get there's some of that going on with Respawn here, is the 'freebies'. Yes, technically, if you are doing the weekly games you get a few free unlocks, but that does require you to play games. It would be nice, and actually generous, to do something like reward people with 1 free recolor skin for the season, regardless of how much you play so you don't constantly feel like you are required to give something back to get a gift. In other words, an actual gift. You could slap snowflakes on a skin, it doesn't have to be complicated.
Anyway, there you have it, if I were running things, you'd all get a free recolor of a skin with snowflakes on it. That's the platform I'm running on :P
