Massiver Paketverlust Telekom
In der Serverliste ist alles nett, alle Server dort haben einen brauchbaren Ping und 0% Paketverlust. Aber immer wieder lande ich in Spiel Instanzen mit 30-70% Paketverlust. Jeder aus meiner Freunde...
Dear EA / Respawn
I get confronted with a few bugs daily which seems to be an error with my provider and the netprogramming of Apex.
I think its an problem from Apex netcode itself or the connectivity server.
But let me explain what happens, what i did and know so far:
What happens:
- I've realy bad connectivity to a lot of servers.
Which results in stutter of Enemys - The animations are like ~5-10 Frames which looks like they are teleporting.
- I've some kind of "ready up" error. From time to time if i get back into the lobby after playing I cant ready up. My Level is still showing and do NOT get overdrawn by the checkmark.
BUT the game thinks our lobby is ready and starts a game. But without me. In some cases my Game loads me in after Champ select directly into the drop ship and sometimes my mates just start a game with 2 players and sometimes they even get a random.
So the games start to search BUT only if I ready up. To fix this i've to leave the lobby and join new. This bug apears from 1-3 times in an hour to after every game. Everytime i fail to check if my level is overdrawn by the checkmark i've to wait for my mates to die if we play ranked.
- Nearly 50% of the servers I log in have the red symbols mostly its the Packet loss or prediction Error.
I think these errors are going hand in hand and have something to do with the connectivity.
What i've done:
I've a ryzen 3800x, GTX 1070, M.2 SSD, 16GB RAM at 3200mhz.
I get my ~80-100 frames if i am streaming.
Talking about streaming - I get these errors with or without my stream turned on.
I get an 100k download speed and 35k upload speed from the Deutsche Telekom AG
My connection is stable! I play TONS of games online and Apex is the ONLY with constant bad Servers and I instantly feel these connection Errors as a Person which plays shooter on an Semiepro level. I speak of nearly 10k hours of shooting online. I feel these lags on the first item i pick if not in the movement itself.
My mates do NOT allways have these Server laggs if I have them. So i do not think the Server itself performs bad.
I've one mate which is confronted with the same symptoms and again only Apex have these problems but he is not at the Deutsche Telekom AG
- changed my DNS Server to the Google DNS on IPv4 and IPv6,
- opend every Port for Apex Legends on my router.
- get these errors in the morning, in the evening and at night.
- reinstalled windows and apex a few times.
- Repaired Apex
- Same problems with the Steam Version of the game or if I start it from there
This ERROR was NOT there in the first 2 seasons after Season 3 it changed.
If i am playing Apex at another location i do not get confronted with this Lobby bug / Bad Server performance.
I was already thinking about somekind of problem with my account.
So it should be and connectivity problem with my provider OR my Internet connection.
But i did check my Internet Speed / Packet loss / everything and Apex is the only game with this kind of error, thats why i am sure it has to do with something going on with my provider and the connection Server of Apex not beeing friends.
I hope maybe someone got the same problem and knows how to fix it or the devs can fix this.

Welchen ISP hat dein Kollege?
Bei der Telekom liegt es an einem über 15 Jahre alten Streit zwischen Telekom auf der einen Seite und Hetzner und Telia auf der anderen Seite. Hetzner schiebt es natürlich auf die Telekom, bietet aber selbst die Möglichkeit für 5€ im Monat ein fehlerfreies Routing für deren Server für Endkunden an.
EA juckt das aber nicht, die bieten Telekom Kunden nicht die Möglichkeit die Infrastruktur von Hetzner und Telia zu vermeiden. EA könnte auch einfach keine Verträge mehr mit solchen Anbietern wie Hetzner und Telia machen die Mutwillig seit vielen Jahren die Bandbreite ins Telekom Netz drosseln.
I have 100% the exact same problem as described.
Did you get any answers from ea or respawn? Or did you maybe solve the problem otherwise?
I have the same Problem and my friend too. I am on Telekom too, not sure what my mate is on. But im pretty sure that EA gives a crap about some less people having problems. It has a to reach a bigger number so that they are getting afraid of loosing money before they do anything. Never had this kind of server problems with any other game in my life.
Here is what Telekom says too that problem.

Wir arbeiten mit dem Dienstleister gerade an den notwendigen Kapazitätserweiterungen, um euch wieder ein besseres Erlebnis zu ermöglichen. Parallel hat EA die Möglichkeit ihren Datenverkehr über einen besser geeigneten Weg in unser Netz zu leiten. Wendet euch dafür zusätzlich direkt an EA.
