Party Member Preloading issue, PC, Apex Legends Season 10

So I'm trying to queue duos in s10 on pc with my friend, but apparantly it constantly says for him: Party Member Preloading. We have been trying to join a game for 45 minutes. (Firing Range, Duos, Arenas, everything basically.) I've restarted apex and my pc. Also an important note: when I start apex, it needs to load the shaders again. This happens everytime I start apex. It gets through all 6800 and then I can finally get in the lobby. But i can't play because I am apparantly preloading. If I leave the party and requeue, it doesn't fix it. Switching servers also doesn't seem to fix it. It seems that I am the problem, because my friend can play when I'm not in the party. But when I am in his party or he in mine, it says Party Member Preloading for him again. For me it just says: Loading... (Insert Map Name Here).  And the worst part is that I already bought the battle pass, but with the inability to play it's just a waste. 

Please if someone knows a fix I would request that you help me. I would really like to play this season. Thanks in advance for any help offered to me.
