@TheseusJasonBFV went on sale for like $5 or less quite a few times recently. That’s why it’s so popular. The other reason being that there’s not a lot of good casual type shooters right now. Everything is trying to be a GD esport these days.
It’s a great game, but I personally prefer 2042 movement and gun play. Cheaters are rampant in BFV as well. Dice gave up on it even when it was the current BF game.

I agree. I was playing BFV all the time until 2042’s S5 and then dropped it. Despite plagued by ‘underhand players’ it was plenty more fun (IMO of course) than 2042. Then after S5 I hardly played BFV anymore. 2042 got into a really good place (shoulder-shrugging the lack of content and network issues).
P.S.: what is “GD esport”?
P.P.S.: re. network issues still on: yesterday went from a super match to another right after it where even LMGs were one-shot-killing me… (on top of *everything and anything* OSK’g me.)@TheseusJasonI'm not sure if you can curse or not on the forum, so I just use GD instead, so we'll say "god dang" instead lol.
The network thing is all over the place. Some rounds, some very particular players, will just not take damage and kill you instantly. I still don't think that it's possible for most players to acquire a target and hit all their shots in 200ms. Happens all the damn time though. Happens with a lot of very low ranking players as well. There's definitely some cheating going on, but that doesn't explain all of it.Like you said too, sometimes it feels like every gun might as well be a shotgun because everything is just a OHK.
I'd love to see an eastern front DLC for Battlefield V. There's so much money to be had in it. Even if it's not about the money, the player satisfaction alone is enough.
Man, these game companies are so clueless on how to capitalize on these sort of things. Mismanagement, poor leadership, and bad strategic decisions are all a recipe for EA's bad decisions on the BF franchise 🙃
I have just played BFV on Xbox after being busy with BF2042 and BF1 for a long time.
It would be a fun game if it wasn’t for the massive camping that’s taking place.
I wasn’t expecting that.
