1080p looks so much better than 1440p, right?
I've been playing BF2042 for for almost a year now on 1440p.
My hardware allows me to play the game on amazing settings with 120-140fps.
Therefore, I never questioned the resolution of 1440p and my monitor is designed for 1440p at 165Hz.
Just for fun, I decided to switch the game to 1080p recently and oh boy the game became so much better
- The graphics seem optimized and native now (as if everything was extrapolated on 1440p)
- There are lots of improvements I noticed such as quicker enemy spotting/seeing when moving the cross-hair near an enemy
- Enemies are more visible in general
- Recoils of my favorite weapons definitely went down
- Shooting and movement in general feels kind of more soft and not so "bumpy" as before (not due to fps increase)
Stuff like that.
Honestly: the look and feel of BF2042 is like a different game on 1080p now. Everything you see on the screen works smoother and in higher in quality plus less "washy".
Did any one else notice this?
I'm not gonna post my hardware here as nothing else was touched except the resolution
