2042 seems lack of warcry, war tone, sound effect. No immersion. feels empty.

I know this is a lot of work. But I hoping for the devs to add more sound effect and tone during gameplay to let the player feels the war. Playing back the old battlefield 1, I enjoyed throughout a match because there is a lot of 'sound' happening during the 'war'. It gives more realism and immersion. I hope the devs can keep up and adding more immersive sound effect to the game to make it feels more alive. Thanks for reading.

    I agree, but..

The specialists were made into 'clowns', instead of soldiers fighting a war. Dice set the tone to Fortnite instead of BF from the start. Even the 'specialist-makeover' didn't really do much, the specialists still look like characters from a bad cheap action movie.

We still have awful voiceovers about 'drinking 5 cups of coffee'.

Putting more 'war tone' into the game would probably feel out of place.

  • This is because 2042 is flawed at the very core. Its a hero type shooter.

Only when Orbital is in bad weather, at times, your getting real BF vibes. Had they focused on making it dark, climate and war torn, it would have been much better. Look at some of the early concept art. The Specialists looked amazing. They talked about next level destruction. 2042 is none of that. It still looks in some ways like a cartoon to me. And i miss Levolution. Every map is so static and boring. The storms dont do anything really. 2042 is one big missed opportunity. IMO.

  • Hi

compared to BF1 and 5 - the sound is really bad. In BF5 I could tell easy if a person was coming from above - side or behind me - surround sound was great. In this game sound is so weak and unprecise that its hard to tell even if something is going on a few meters away from you. BF5 perhaps the footsteps was a little too much but in this game way too weak. In this game suddenly I have a chopper almost on top of me before I hear it and in real life you have this loud low frequency from a distance.

This game was rushed out because of the usual - a manager that needs to check something on a to do list and have budget in place before Christmas !

But have to say - today the game is way way better than when launched !

Yea I thought the sound was pretty bad in bf2042. The gun sounds especially, I tend to play podcasts while playing now anyway.

The lack of things like footsteps, tanks that sneak up behind you without a sound and missing sounds need to be fixed first I feel.

Adding more sounds would just make this worse.

@sk1lldThis has been reported since day one release and still they have not even attempted to fix sound issues.
All they are worried about is getting streamers on youtube etc early access to everything and give them overpowered weapons whilst the normal player who paid for the content get's the weapon nerfed on release.
    For example new Rail Gun.
