I think they could use a boost to splash damage, but I think the mini guns just outweigh it since they have the same levels of accuracy. Do you think a splash damage increase would fix it?
Agreed, the miniguns are better. Not to mention that against other Heli's, the 20mm are more difficult to use due to projectile velocity. They need a buff against personnel and vehicles imo
All mounted weapons are too weak. They were nerfed to oblivion. It takes 5 direct hits to kill with a 30mm cannon from the Bolte. Not even a head shot kills, with a cannon! It's literally weaker than the revolver and slower to kill than a pistol.
People were complaining about op vehicles in the beginning, rightfully so. But instead of fixing it with lower vehicle HP and proper damage zones dice just nerfed the weapons, creating even more problems.
You can literally empty the upgraded helo cannons in another helicopter until they overheat and you will have done close to no damage at all. Machineguns shooting at planes and helos do literally nothing.
The weapons are too weak! Roll back the nerf, it wasn't needed. Just give the vehicles damagezones and more reasonable HP. A littlebird should not be a flying tank, they are small and weak recon-choppers that should be scared of being fired at. Now they can fly thru any weapons bullets and laugh.
The nerf on the cannons was definitely too hard. Part of the problem is the chokepoints on maps: everyone stacks up on them because there's hardly any other valid defense options and it just makes it so you're shooting fish in a barrel.
The armor on the nightbird should be lowered and more susceptible to armor piercing rounds: nobody uses them because they hardly do anything and it gets outhealed in seconds.
Bolte's... just remove these... they disrupt the flow too much and makes regular LATV's pointless to use, even though that vehicle would actually promote more teamplay and transport options.

Passenger weapons on all vehicles are garbage, especially miniguns. They lack splash damage, so you need to have pinpoint damage to hit anything, which is nearly impossible in most of these vehicles unless they're at a full stop, not to mention the damage dealt is frustrating since it still takes like 5-10 direct hits to kill someone. Using miniguns on heli's? Waste of time. You'd have better luck in a generic passenger seat using your own gun to hit anything.
BF3 and 4 this wasn't an issue, but this game mounted weapon damage is insanely unrealistic, even if it is a video game. Dont realy use 20mm, the minigun is way OP against any other chopper in the game
the only reason to use the 20mm is to finish of tanks after you nuke them with 2 AGMs.. again its way OP- X-Sunslayer-X4 years agoSeasoned Ace
sure if you trade the rockets for it... but both are just not fun to have for the recieving side....
would it be fair if you got faster flare recharge then? asa turnover?

IF they are going to buff them they should only increase damage against other vehicles

The driver guns are pretty good, it's the passenger mini guns that are garbage and need splash damage.
- @ke_bin47 No * way. I get my * handed to me every * time they come after me.
