3-D Spotting returning?
I'm personally not a fan of the 3-D spotting but it sounds like it may be making a comeback.

OK, what the actual hell. WHY are you touching the spot system? Wtf is so wrong with it that you're trying to regress us back to BF4's garbage doritos littering my whole HUD? WHY?
I like the current system which only provides a 3D spot tag for a few seconds (if at all). It's minimalistic and still requires players to USE THEIR EYES to find targets. Too much 3D spotting/doritos defeats this purpose and makes the game incredibly dull when you can just look for persistent markers...
Do you want to increase sniper camping? Because this is how you increase sniper camping.
Majority of players don't really enjoy the ping system (it isn't very "Battlefield"), so it's nice to see the team making changes
- @TTZ_Dipsy Especially in a game like BF2042 where we have a ton of thick grass and bushes. It's a nightmare to fight on Manifest around B flags and Renewal D flags. People hide in grass and you cannot see them at all
- @UP_LordPlumber That's the point of hiding, not to be seen. 2042 has the worst spotting system since you can be spotted in so many ways. You are basically shown on the mini the entire game (small exaggeration). Of all the BFs made, this is the hardest to hide in grass/bushes.
The ping system is nice because as stayed above by @Anarchiesx, you still need to use find people instead of just shooting the bright red target over someone's head.
Another "legacy feature" returns to Battlefield then.
They might make a fully fledged BF game out of 2042 yet.

- @UP_Hawxxeye Squad management. One of my biggest issues with the game so far. Having squad of blueberries/campers/AFK players and no way out of it.
Atleast allow me to move between squads

Indeed, your wishlist pretty much mirrors my own thoughts, hopefully it comes to fruition. 👍
how is that going to be any different then what is already in the game?
- proxy-balls
- caspers drone
- paiks wallhack
- boris' turret
- shooting
- auto-soptting
all these things already mark you more or less... could the real issue be that it is almost next to impossible to distinguish friend from foe since we are fighting the bloody clone-wars and the next map is going to be an even bigger flustercluck then stranded? nah must be because of other reaosns....
