They might make a fully fledged BF game out of 2042 yet.

Indeed, your wishlist pretty much mirrors my own thoughts, hopefully it comes to fruition. 👍
how is that going to be any different then what is already in the game?
- proxy-balls
- caspers drone
- paiks wallhack
- boris' turret
- shooting
- auto-soptting
all these things already mark you more or less... could the real issue be that it is almost next to impossible to distinguish friend from foe since we are fighting the bloody clone-wars and the next map is going to be an even bigger flustercluck then stranded? nah must be because of other reaosns....

BF1 had spotting about right for me.... - 3 years ago

Well if it's 3D spot then it's different to your list which are mini map spots only.
3D spot means you don't have to disengage from looking where your soldier is looking to see a spotted enemy. With a mini map spot you often don't have line of sight so you still can't actually see exactly where the enemy is and start firing.
It's also why the Boris turret was nerfed (and Paik to some extent) because it was 3D spot on steroids with the silhouette spotting.

Just a heads up, according to what I've been reading 3D spot is not confirmed as returning, it's just a slight rework of the static orange ping marker.

From a visual standpoint I’m interested to see how they implement it. I’m constantly pulling my sights off of someone, and then have to try and snap back to them. Everyone is so dimly lit and gray it’s hard to track people at times. Low contrast is awful, and as I get older, the harder it is visually to keep on target when the visuals aren’t clear.
Was something changed recently? It seems like it’s has been harder to see enemies lately.
If I’m already aiming at someone, I definitely want them to be spotted just for me. I feel like that’s an accessibility thing. It’s a game overall. Plus, it’s kind of an advantage for aim assist and makes aiming with a mouse harder.
When I manually spot someone, that information should be relayed to my squad mates only. Not the entire team. I don’t think you should be spotted while sitting in a bush and someone happens to pan across your spot while ads either.
I thought BFV pretty much had this nailed down perfectly as someone else already mentioned. 3d spotting works, but should be limited.
