When Dice announced it was coming back I groaned.
I remember when V came out I was against removing it and it was probably one of the reasons V got off to a bad start along with attrition.
However I grew to enjoy playing without it because you could now hide again and not be constantly lit up purely by a player who had no idea you were there.
So when Dice said it was coming back I wasn't looking forward to it but I must admit I'm really glad it's back.
With the detailed environments of modern battlefield games with so many dark areas in every map I feel 3D spotting improves the game and allows players to avoid frustrating deaths to invisible enemies if they are willing to put in a little effort.
Some will argue it's a cheap tactic but many players don't actually spot as it still requires extra effort and adds a delay to when you fire your first bullet.
I also personally feel that as a mid range sniper and tank main I am contributing more to my team by spotting enemies for my teammates.
So now that we've had it back for a few weeks what do you think about the return of 3D spotting?
