3-D Spotting returning?
I'm personally not a fan of the 3-D spotting but it sounds like it may be making a comeback.

@UsainskiSemperFi No it didn't, without it the visibility would be as worse like BFV, vehicles would be way difficult to find and take down with randoms, and would hurt teamplay overall with randoms or friends if they can't see what you spotted in a distance to engage or be warned of.
If you have a problem with 3D spotting, just use smoke grenades or play as Blasco since they counter spotting and allow players to push.
