About Animation----feedback of Battlefield 2042

Hello, BF team, this is my feedback on the battlefield 2042 beta test, mainly including soldiers' running animation and vehicle sound effects. English is not my mother tongue. I use translation software. I hope you can understand it.

1. Animation of weapons when soldiers run in the first person vision. Compared with the alpha test, you added random details of weapon shaking in beta, but a more serious problem occurred. The weapon shaking did not look like the normal reaction of soldiers running. Please let me explain in detail: when soldiers run with weapons in hand, the movement of their arms should be passive, and the shaking of weapons should be a natural response. However, in 2042, the weapon shaking looks like a soldier deliberately and actively brandish a weapon, as if the upper body and lower body are not in the same state, and the lower body is running, but the upper body is deliberately and actively brandish a weapon, which is very unnatural and unreasonable. The weapon shaking in 2042 is more rigid than 3, 4, 1 and V. I think the reason may be that the weapon shakes too fast, or it stays too long when shaking left and right to both sides. You should check the animation curve. If you are at home or in the office, please try to run with something similar to a weapon and feel the natural reaction of your arm. This is a passive action, not an active action.

2. The first person sliding shovel (sliding step) is the action of pressing Ctrl after running. The slide shovel of 2042 has become lens oriented, like the whole person being dragged forward by the lens. The slide shovel of BFV is guided by the soldier's body. The whole body has a process of descending from top to bottom, which drives your lens vision to slide forward and downward. It is very natural. The generation of 2042 has become lens oriented, dragging you forward, and FOV will change, like the slide shovel of apex and Titan, I don't like it very much. I'm not saying that apex and Titan are bad. BF should have its own characteristics. In terms of movement, this generation I think it has lost the physical sense and natural sense of BF series.


3. Sound effect of vehicle. When I fly helicopters, jets and tanks, it is difficult to hear the change of engine horsepower. Especially when I drive little birds (md540), I can't hear the change of engine sound during lifting and lowering. It sounds like electric drive.

To be honest, when you review BF3, 4, 1, V. Players know that this is constantly modified on the basis of the previous work. You said that the soldier animation of 2042 is improved on the basis of BFV, but my friends who have played BF series and I commented that it is not vivid, like robot, rigid and lack of transition connection. The action of 2042 is like deleting the action data inherited from BF series, losing the sense of physics and nature.

Finally, I hope you can make BF better and better. Even if you can't do better, you should maintain your own level and shouldn't step back. You should have confidence in BF. BF should have its own characteristics. Learning other games is a good thing, but it's not worth losing the original advantages of BF.
