On last couple of weeks I've seen a lot of people complaining on chat, of the usage of hack by other side and generating a match full of hate, racism and trash talk.
As result the side that is losing have a lot of players leaving. Unbalancing once for all the match.
The report function works against some kind of abusive text?
How you feel, handle and keep playing?
if people can't handle the trash talk (all types) they should turn off all chat if they are that thin skinned.

i love hate mail and being called names. means i'm getting under their skin and influencing their game and stopping them from doing what they want to do (usually salty helo pilots that i keep hacked ever time they try to farm the objectives in breakthrough)
- UP_Hawxxeye3 years agoLegend@Prof3ss0r_M1k3 Did they put them back in breakthrough?

The chat auto-censor is off the charts aggressive.
I'm surprised someone could get an offensive message through without it getting filtered.
That said I had my first hate mail yesterday. Had someone accusing me of wall hacking (on a PS5 no less). Normally I take that as a compliment, but that was on a very 'meh' 30-17 game for me. I didn't feel I had earned the recognition.

The OP also mentioned racist and hate speech. You only mentioned hackusations. Of course no one should care about those, it’s rare I get it but it’s like a badge of honour when I do. However you talk about being thin skinned and ignore the issue the player was being exposed to far worse in the chat. You can’t minimize that persons experience or disregard it. Unfortunately as a society we haven’t moved past that garbage yet.

You said the correct words
"You can’t minimize that persons experience or disregard it."
Some people on this topic don't have this thought.- AOD_CapStar3623 years agoSeasoned Ace
the chat filter is so aggressive so, im curious how they are getting past it.
BF-V you could not even say the word NOOB without it getting reduced to *'s , that is beyond pathetic if you ask me you can even jokingly call someone a noob for accidentally hitting a tree with a truck or clipping their wing on a object........
DICE has become the voice of a 5 year old that cries mommy for even friendly banter. it's a M17+ Rated Game for crying out loud! the in-game characters even scream out worse things than I can type out in chat before i see a bunch of *'s.

people are going to people. if it is that big a problem turn the filter back on. personally i'm to busy to use chat when playing so if someone is typing things in chat i read it but i don't respond. if they send me xbox live hatemail i'll respond when i get around to it and it'll usually be to the effect of "i'm laughing so hard i'm crying right now, thanks i needed that" or something like that because that usually spins them up even more. words don't bother me so maybe it is that i can't understand why people get so worked up over what a person they have never nor will ever meet says.
expecting that everyone online is going to act like a well adjusted human being isn't realistic. there are (and always will be) some pretty caustic people out there and they will be drawn to chat that allows them to be that way to other people. it is up to everyone else to choose to allow it to upset them or just ignore it and move on. allowing it to upset you gains nothing and only has negative effects.
