Battlefield 2042 surprised me with 3 things. Lack of server browser, inability to enable OSD monitoring using Riva Tuner Statistic Server and inability to limit the number of FPS using Riva Tuner or in-game commands. I understand that when the next Battlefield comes out, Battlefield 2042 will die because there are too few players, or will we have to wait 20 minutes until there are enough players?
In Call of Duty, the lack of a server browser is not that bothersome yet, because the number of room slots is selected according to the number of players searching for the server, although the multiplayer of Call of Duty WW II died due to the lack of a browser or the waiting time for a match is very long. I didn't think Battlefield would follow this.
I see that EA is counting on higher sales due to the multiplayer dying faster due to too long a wait for a new match due to too few players, but the question is whether they won't overdo it and it won't have the opposite effect.
Since the topic of adding a server search engine has been going on since February 2022 and nothing has changed until October 2023, it means that the game management does not take into account anything except its own ideas, so there is no point in counting on the fact that something will change and probably the next parts Battlefield will be underdeveloped.
Let's hope they don't come up with a brilliant idea like the creators of Call of Duty in which they make the NAT status of the modem dependent on the match search, if they do this, many people will not be able to play at all or the match search will be very difficult if the Nat is medium or limited (in other words closed)
Please give xp if you support my opinion.
