Add a server browser

For a MP only game that had a development cycle of 3 years, 2042 features are pathetic. Sorry there's no other way to say this. 

Explain to me how it makes sense to REMOVE all features that made BF just that and think this is ok? Do you think its "brutal" to ask for CAN I SELECT THE MAP I WANT TO PLAY? What about server rotations? Bookmark fav server. I mean the list goes on. Im so at the end with my patience and this incompetent developer.

I totally agree, my patience ran out a long time ago too and I continue to be frustrated daily with the issues you relate to.

Bring back choice, let us decide how we want to play BF2042.

You are absolutely right there is a complete lack of Community in BF2042 and it's all down to MM / Lobby as you say.

And I agree it is a nightmare experience and a far cry from previous BF's. 

@RayD_O1maybe you should start a petition.

Anyway good on ya for attempting to highlight one of the real issues with 2042 instead of all the other nonsense other people complain about.

Thanks for the update, I actually thought you meant start a petition within this forum which I would definitely be up for if the forum rules allow it. 

@ElliotLH could you maybe please clarify this one, thanks.

I am not sure what all would be involved in starting an external petition and to be honest I feel more comfortable trying to get support for this issue via posting on the BF2042 forum.

I know that posting on reddit or raising an external petition would have a bigger audience but I am not sure I would be the right person to undertake going that route. Obviously if anyone else fancies trying it I would wholeheartedly  support it.  🙂

Thanks for clarifying that, I sort of recalled posts being closed on previous BF forums for this reason.

No worries I am happy just to continue along with all the other like minded players on here, to drum up support in our crusade for the "Return of the Server Browser".

Sounds a bit like a Blockbuster Movie.  🙂

I can't get into any game mode now on XSX.  Crossplay off obviously, but the only way to actually play 2042 now would be to have a server browser so I can find a lobby to play.  Either that or crossplay with consoles only.  Don't mind which Dice pick, whichever is the fastest to implement but until then I cant even play the game which is sad.

It is sad as you say, and not what you would expect from a BF game at all.   ☹️

I personally hope they can implement the Server Browser / Persistent Server option as it would mean we could stay on a server and play through the complete map rotation.

It would cut out all this playing the same map over and over, or not seeing certain maps for days due to MM.

And we would obviously spend a lot less time in the lobby / menu's waiting for players,  there is just so much time wasted with all this faffing around.

I can't honestly see why anyone could think that MM is a better system than the Server Browser / Persistent Server System.

@RayD_O1i don't like MM either, i want a map rotation. if they are hell bent on keeping it give us a browser and use the MM for quickplay for people who are lazy or don't care like in previous games

MM's highlight of the day was  putting me in Hourglass a few times back to back, which is my least favourite BF2042 map and unfortunately I wasn't allowed to play my favourite Orbital map because MM said so.

I was not a happy bunny. !!!

Yeah, 4 times in a row on any map just causes major frustration.

Unless of course it's a map you absolutely love and have chosen to go on it via a server browser like in previous BF's.

Back then that was your choice it is now being imposed upon you, big difference 

Having only 7 maps means they get stale very quickly and MM is making matters so much worse with the sort of scenario you have just described.

Out of experience I would STRONGLY advice against even mentioning any Pet***. I did so and even though this P. (the refund one that everyone interested can find using his/her favorite search engine in less than 10 seconds) now carries over 200.000 signatures, the post was deleted and my account here on the forums was blocked for 24h.

Just to clarify: I did not even directly endorse the P, but I mentioned it and posted a link to it for convenience (even though I personally signed it, but I also did not state that) and I also did not call for any boycott. So, don't mention it, don't create any new one and definitely don't post a link or endorse it if you want to avoid getting banned here.

I wish they were as fast with bans in the actual game as they are here.

Thanks for the heads up I will bear that in mind. 

We will just continue to post on the various threads on this subject on a daily basis in the hope that DICE will eventually take heed and give players the server browser /persistent server system bf2042 needs if it is to survive.
