@Stew360Not sure if I got your point. The first paragraph is not in agreement with the second, or in general.
The point of a server browser is to let us chose the lowest ping.
Currently, I am constantly placed on laggy/far servers. The experience from one match may be wonderful, just to be horrible on the next, with some rubberbanding to the point of giving me nausea.
We don't have any idea of how the matchmaking works, if they consider ping, or whatnot. I know for a fact that, sometimes I had to quit waiting for a match. I was also thrown in the middle of matches, and just a few days ago, at around 4 pm EST, I played in servers with about 50% bots.
So that means they are NOT getting full servers. Surely enough they try to fill the servers at all costs. So they are either sending you to be the laggy player in European servers, or sending the laggy players to YOUR server.
Therefore, the streamlined all out war is not fair or fun to some. And it is not streamlined if we don't know how the choices are made, what is prioritized, and where we are getting ourselves into.
And how hard is picking a server with a low ping indicator, shown as milliseconds or in green bars, and a free spot? That is streamlined enough. That is what we expected.
If that still bothers you, the option "quick match" always existed in BF. We could do it both ways. Simple!
By doing so, they remove the unnecessary 30 s wait and go straight to matches with maps rotating properly.
