Add a server browser
DICE, please add a server browser. I cannot find matches in my region(India). I am just stuck on the waiting for players screen and the match never starts or there are only 20-30 players in a match. ...

I prefer to play BT and Exposure. I got Breakaway as defender 5 times in a row after requeing. I spend more time in the MM queue than I do in the actual game playing. Is that what DICE wants? It is beyond ridiculous. Indie games have server browsers, that is how low the bar has fallen for BF.

I totally agree, it is really sad that we spend so much wasted time in MM queues, time that should be spent actually playing the game.
For me, the decision to replace the Server Browser with MM was the biggest retrograde step for the BF series.
Portal has more than a server browser. U can increase the time to kill rate, remove vehicles, disable the hacker minimap, choose the map rotation, disable meta weapons...
But EA/DICE dont want, that we play portal. No one want to play alone. When u add AI, than u get no progress.
PS: Remove the xp restriction for ai filled portal games.
Battlefield 2042 could be so much better with portal...@ScamSimulator
I play the Weekly Portal Experiences and really enjoy being able to stay on the same server and play through the complete map rotation.
AOW would also be so much better if it had a Server Browser / Persistent Servers like we had in all previous BF's.
Matchmaking after every round kills the enjoyment for me, it splits squads, it's unnecessary and time consuming and it means you end up playing the same map a lot of the times.
Matchmaking also means that a lot of players have no access in their regions which imho is unacceptable.
DICE please replace MM and help all players to get the best out of BF2042.So bored in being pigeon holed into playing conquest only. Portal match's seem to be either full of AI or extreme hardcore. We need a SB and Persistent Servers so bad. Last week I actually MM into my first game of breakthough since 3 months after launch! Only got on round in and then there were not enough players to MM into it again.
I only like 2 maps in this game. I demand to have the choice to play these maps. We didnt ask for a COD matchmaking. What kind of joke is this?

That is a terrible inditement and something that shouldn't be happening in any game, all players should / must have access.
It proves yet again that MM will never be an acceptable alternative to the proper Server Browser / Persistent Servers that worked well in all previous BF's.

Yeah I totally agree with you the lack of persistent servers and map rotation is so frustrating.
With so few maps we need to be able to have access to them all, there are maps I rarely get to see at all because of these MM limitations.
This week I got to experience playing BF on EU server without VPN, for some reason the matchmaking worked properly and queued me on EU server and man what a joy it was to play without a VPN, low and clean ping, no spikes, full lobby, I don't think that DICE realise how fundamental and important to play in a fast and straight way and that can only be achieved professionally by letting us select the server at least.

100% this, as you say it is imperative that players have the ability to choose which server they play on.
It worked perfectly well in all previous BF's when we had a Server Browser / Persistent Servers.
MM choosing always orbital, kaleidoskope and breakway, like there are no other maps!! When you cancel like i do, it always chooses same map.
I feel like the devs punish users in athe most sadistic way..

MM is so frustrating / time consuming and imho does not cater for players needs.
With a proper Server Browser / Persistent Servers you would have the choice of what / where you play and the opportunity to either play through all the maps in rotation or select a different server / map.Why doesn't anyone come in here and give us a definitive answer to stop all the time wasting, and let people know once and for all ?

The last statement from DICE was in August 2022 :
"But we wanted to help to let you all know that when it comes to a server browser, specifically for all out warfare, we're currently not pursuing this. We've had a lot of questions on this. So we wanted to make sure you got an answer."
They said 10 months ago that they were currently not pursuing this, not never.BF2042 launched without a proper Scoreboard, All Chat, Squad Management, Server Browser etc which was not well received by the community. It took a while to address each of those issues but now the only one that is still missing is the Server Browser.
I have pointed out previously on this thread that personally I am not holding out much hope of getting one at this late stage.
However as it has also been said many times on this thread it is important to continue to reiterate how we all feel about MM and keep the thread visible as a reminder that a Server Browser / Persistent Servers is an essential element of any BF game, past, present and future.- @RayD_O1

We have been asking multiple times for a honest answer why a SB is not on the list..is that too much to ask? Like you said, we all pointed out that this system fail to work properly...and yet they leave us hanging in dispare. Personaly i don't have any hope at all that this game become a proper BF game. And if this is the way this franchise is gonna continue this path, i don't have hope for future games. @Mackstan71 especially because we have a server browser in the game already (see Portal).
Why isn't it possible to just bring the same function over to the main BF2042 server stuff too?! 🤨

I personally don't believe that any current / future BF title can ever succeed using MM in preference to the tried and tested Server Browser / Persistent Servers. Nope, never.
Battlefield needs a server browser, it's just a part of Battlefield imo. A big part!

DICE please listen to the community and add a Server Browser / Persistent Servers to AOW.
Imho players need to have choices and MM does not allow choice but instead puts players into random matches. Also players want to be able to stay / play with squads / friends, MM does not cater for this.
We need to be able to have access to all the maps rather than be forced to play the same few maps over and over, coupled with the fact that many players cannot even access games at all in their regions.
Way too much time is wasted being sent back to the lobby after every round and this just adds an unnecessary layer of frustration.
DICE by replacing MM you would allow players to get the best out of BF2042 and I personally feel this should be the #1 priority for future updates and the best way of boosting player numbers going forward.
Today i installed this again and tried to play for an hour.
Needless to say that i managed to play 10 minutes, while 50 minutes i was cancelling hourglass, kaleidoskope, breakaway and orbital.
This isnt random MM.. Lame devs have patched this lame COD-BF to choose mostly base maps, like we havent played them enough 1.5 year now!
I uninstalled for once more .. i will never preorder BF before checkin things out first.

I fully understand your frustration, with so few maps in the game we need to have access to play all maps, not just those that MM decides to choose for us.
DICE please replace MM with a proper Server Browser / Persistent Servers so we can enjoy playing BF2042 the way we played all previous BF's. Matchingmaking is still a joke after all this time. If you're not going to give me a server browser, at least stop putting me in lobbies where I'm the only one in it. Stop making us play games filled with more bots than humans. Let me be the one to decide if I can deal with a higher ping. I can't ever find a decent match after midnight because the servers are dead.
