@D-Man3847I feel yah, there have been so many strange decisions in the game as well as so many bugs, it can be hard to tell the difference. I can tell you that the bipod stays deployed for me when prone or standing, however it does revert to “up” if I die and respawn. For a long time the weapons would revert to their base, either auto or single fire on respawn, but they fixed it a while back. Does console have the option to set a default condition? I found there are a number of posts in the bug forums about the issue, so it does seem like intended behaviour. Are you finding the bipod reverts after say changing to pistol, or dropping an ammo bag? That seems to trigger the bipod to a closed state. The only recoil reduction is when the bipod is deployed and you ADS. If you’re not scoped in, it doesn’t help.

I just want the bipod to stay down after I respawn or revived it goes back up and I have to keep putting it down. I don't know if that's a glitch or on purpose and getting an answer from a developer here is like pulling teeth. It's amazing one can't even talk to the devs on the EA forums.

IMO if you chose to equip it, then it’s obvious that you want to use it and it should just be deployed. Having it hanging doesn’t seem to affect hip fire or anything else, so why not just leave it down?
Also, it’s really very very rare anymore to see an EA dev in here. I’ve been around a bit and at the start we did see a couple of different ones who would chat with us. Thing is… the game was in a pretty bad state and players were super annoyed and those devs took a lot of caca when they were in. A lot of rage got focussed on those guys, without anyone even knowing what their roles on the game had been. It didn’t take long before we never saw them anymore. Sure they might have quit or been cut loose and Dice or EA shed staff, or maybe they stopped because we were jerks. We’ll probably never know.
