A little update here. Me and a friend played on Xbox series X and S and we had absolutely no aim-assist and no snap on. We played for two hours with crossplay enabled. It was a real pain. We lost 90% of engagements. Not fun.

Hello,
I feel the same as OP -> starting with patch 1.2 seems that I'm evaporated when fighting vs a console player.
From my side as a PC player, feels like I'm being shot one time with a super bullet, I don't have enough time to get in a cover and while I'm trying to avoid all this damage, I'm dying a lot of times behind the cover.
PC vs PC fights doesn't seem or feel like that - in such fights I'm able to get behind a cover, avoid some damage and even turn the fight in my advantage.
Initially when the new patch dropped, I thought that the devs "repaired" the aim assist at some degree where fighting vs a console player felt like I'm playing vs an aimbotter but as long as in the majority of cases I'm dying behind covers, I tend to believe it's something wrong with the netcode rather than a console player having a very strong aim assist or a cronus user.
My latency is ~40ms in BF2042 and I have 1 Gbps internet connection via FTTH - soon I will upgrade it to 10Gbps. The point is my internet connection is solid and never had issues with any online games that I've been playing in the last 15 years or so.
Thank you!
