All chat has been a part of competitive MP since the QUAKE days. How do i know? Well i was there. I played clan matches in the 90s. Never ever did someone say "oh man i feel way too offended". What sort of snowflakes has this newer generation become? If you get offended by someone you don't know playing a video game, then maybe you should stop playing and look for a new hobby. There will always be that one clown of course. Hence - you can turn all chat OFF. You will NEVER SEE the insults if you can't take em.
As for myself, im looking forward to telling that one sniper off or the tank sitting around near the home base. And that we had to debate and wait for such a basic basic "feature", is just more proof how removed from reality this developer is.
The problem stemmed from the belief that a gaming chat/videogame should be having the sensibilities of an American liberal arts college

- @mickey921 Which is fine. My point was - never ever was "All chat" in any debate in the past. Every past BF game had it. Its gonna be off by default so you can just not worry about it.

- @Dutchie-Mario Its people like yourself who make a big thing out of it. 2042 on launch had NOTHING that was default in MP games since the 90s. It didnt even have a scoreboard. So removing things that are standard to games and then adding it back isn't useless. Esp since its OFF ON DEFAULT. /eye roll
