Forum Discussion
When I found out about this change, I thought it was clickbait.
I've been a very vocal member of this discussion board about what I like and dislike about 2042.
I have over 850 hours in 2042 spread equally across the infantry and vehicle facets of the game.
Here's my thoughts on this change:
I vehemently despise the visual recoil in Call of Duty, Please, out of everything to "borrow" from that franchise don't "borrow" that for Battlefield. If you're gonna "borrow" something from Call of Duty, "borrow" the proximity chat, at least for team mates so I can personally thank the medics for reviving me. Maybe even first person take downs, I feel like that would do WAY MORE for immersion than this.
I don't want visual recoil in Battlefield if it's anything like it is in Call of Duty. For instance, if I shoot a gun, and the gun shakes all over the place obscuring the crosshair with the iron sight, scope or muzzle flash then I'm hanging up my dog tags.

According to Dice, visual recoil aka your red dot bouncing all over the screen, also reduces your weapon accuracy and adds more RNG into the gunsfights. Exactly what you would expect from a AAA FPS game. Random slot machine mechanic when shooting your weapon. Sounds awesome!

How is it that they thought this would be needed, it's already the sloppiest fps out there. It just boggles the mind!
