Another pointless recoil change.
Before even discussing it, just why? Who even asked for it? But back to the topic, Dice are once again adding something nobody asked for. By looking at the update, weapons will feel EVEN MORE sporad...

@UP_LordPlumber Just throwing it out there, aside from it sucking for the shooter, the greater spread might contribute to a longer TTK. Haven’t we all complained about getting lasererd by everything in the game? Boom you’re dead? I do think it’ll give consoles a boost due to the reduced recoil they have, and that might end up as an issue for PC, time will tell. I’m hoping we can adapt and end up with a little bit longer TTD at the same time. It’s probably gonna suck overall, but for a change I’m trying to be positive.
@ATFGunrLonger TTK could've been easily added through normal recoil increase across the board. But of course, that would increase the skill ceiling which is something that every modern game is trying to avoid.
Besides, TTK in this game is fine, it is the net code and data packs getting clustered into the same server refresh rate that is the problem.
I don't see anyone complaining that they're killing people too fast. Its the opposite. People are complaining that it takes way too many bullet to kill someone.

People are complaining that it takes way too many bullet to kill someone.I am on PS5 and i say that the TTK/TTD is the shortest in BF2042 in the entire franchise. I also play BFV and BF1 regularly so i can compare quickly. I think the TTK and TTD is waaaaay too short in this game and it is specially problematic with the crossplay. Maybe more recoil/visual recoil would kind of even out things between PC and console players. We will see i guess soon.
The next worst thing to this change would be for the matchmaking to choose your Game Mode, Specialist, and loadout for you. All you do is click play and you get a random game mode, map, Specialist, and loadout that you are locked into. Then after the round, it rescrambles everything. That sounds fun.....
