In the Beta test it was possible to dodge fxm missiles and avoid death, now it is impossible as they will hit you 90% of the time on the first run, and if they miss, they will come back and hit you indefinitely.
And to top it off, the fxm missile is being carried by enough infantry that you are getting locked onto every few seconds. This makes helicopter gameplay extremely painful.please at least allow them to be dodged again or for it to take more hits to take down a chopper, or remove them from infantry or give infantry a lesser powered launcher.
Have you asked yourself why this might be the case?
Didn't think so.....
multiple times tonight i got killed by one AA missles at 100% health!!!
and they missles fly next to you till your flares are done making you immune?
@Flavin913The flares are not yet working properly. The missile is supposed to hit one of them and explode instead of lingering as if the aircraft used BF3/4 ECM
@Lone_Strang3r meanwhile the attack helis have adapted to bombarding from the gunner seat from outside the range of any and all AA.
They have also learned to dance ballet https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/Attack-Helicopters-aren-t-meant-to-move-that-way/m-p/11004059
AA will sometimes relock after flares if they haven't exploded to flare, seen it happen a few times while using wildcat.
But if someones got a solflam lock you are toast really as that keeps lock even on flaring but does take some coordination with Squad/team.
It's also got further range than AA too and can take Nightbirds in 1 and attack in 2 hits

@Trokey66That and sometimes the missile just does a 180... I've had dogfights where I overshoot the target and the missile does a backflip into it. I don't think DICE knows how missiles work... they can't just turn at an extreme angle and if they miss that's it they lose lock on and don't turn around.
is a 9 month necro post really neccesary?
