Anti-vehicle rockets awful
I only started playing a week ago, and I have used almost everything, if not everything anti-vehicle except mines in the game. So far, the damage they do is entirely ineffectual. Anti-air takes time...
Here’s an example of the gaming experience:
Tank driver or Apache heli: in 10 minutes of play get to destroy other vehicles and many foot soldiers in that space of time.
Me, anti vehicle rockets fired as often as is possible: lucky if I alone take out one said vehicle, most likely do little damage and get no kills.
Why play foot soldier? A vehicle driver with easy-to-get multiple kills is surely having a fun gaming experience, while I am dying frequently to take out one vehicle alone.
I literally quit bothering from now on: if I am on your squad, don’t even bother asking me to get an anti vehicle weapon: I want to enjoy the game, and will stay the F away from vehicles.
With all due respect, you know most games consist of random players put together with no mics. The developers know this so people can’t expect to see quality team work, let alone team work. Every match has someone complaining.
I have no friends playing this, and so I must play the best I can, but simply telling me, “You can’t expect a better experience then” won’t help. The game needs to factor in the reality of how it’s typically played, not how the developers recommend it played. Too many times I have found myself the only one, or one of two firing rockets at vehicles with too little, ineffective damage.
The arguments here so far rely solely on team work to take down a vehicle: assuming there is team work. This is online gaming that will never change, only a minority of people are in real teams with real teamwork. I bought BF2042 because (it’s heavily updated) after very poor experiences with CoD Warzone: only 1 in 10 or less games did people use mics, and very few games too had people working together. BF is the same.
