However, mulitplayer COD has always felt more arcadey and Arena-Shooter-esque when compared to Battlefield. I think that is still the case.
However, as simply and safely as I can say it, after having played the Technical Playtest, I enjoyed the experience and I am hopeful for this game.
- 4 years ago@carsono311 That is where the problem lies. The loyal fan base doesn't want special characters, we just want to be regular soldiers on the battlefield. We dont want out of body experiences when knifing a player we've been hunting.... Although i do appreciate your response and some detail, i still feel like it validates my suspicions battlefield is turning into call of duty lol

@simple89mhYou will find a lot of sympathy and similar sentiments on these forums...
I share a lot of your concerns, but I also have not found the things you mentioned to be too bothersome to me personally. However, there is also a distinct lack of gameplay and information to assuage your concerns, so most players here have really just been exasperated and frustrated at the lack of communication.
I think you will have more opportunity to judge and decide what you will do soon... IF there are no further delays...- 4 years ago
Haven't played CoD since World at War but it didn't feel like CoD to me at all.

Speak for yourself. None of these things bother me and I have been playing this series for a very long time. Right now I am not getting "Call of Duty Vibes." Instead I would say it is the concerned that some of the same issues that were always there in large scale multiplayer will continue to be there in 2042 vibes that i am getting.
