The battlefield franchise has consistently driven towards the call of duty twitch shooter gameplay and that’s a shame but that’s what sells.
Shame they can’t emulate call of duty in regards to game polish instead.
@emerson1975 Except for the noticeable exceptions of player counts, map size, vehicle gameplay, etc. If anything, COD has tried to become more like Battlefield...
I can agree about some issues, gunplay, player movement, and micro are all clearly more COD leaning, but I still feel there is great distinctiveness between the two games and I will keep pushing for that exclusivity.

- @carsono311 i should of been more specific but yeah in terms of basic gun play they are closer than ever.
If the beta has the same slide movement and gunplay as the tech test, then yea, i'll also be in the COD feel camp.
I really, *really* hope that's turned down dramatically by the beta, and what little footage we've seen since does sort of indicate that.
Would hope so, i have generally differentiated BF vs CoD as "run then gun" vs "run and gun".
Doesn't seem like that big a difference, but one franchise i've put a silly amount of hours into and one i can never get past a few days of MP.
I mean, i play Destiny of all things so i'm not against the CoD-style of gameplay, it's just not what i'm looking for in a BF game, which was probably why BF5 and to a lesser degree 1 lost my interest unlike the previous entries where i'd still be playing when a sequel came out.
Personal preference of course.
