Still it is far less p2w than it was in bf4 with whole guns locked behind premium.
I tbh think that the difference in upper cap is mostly negligible and all stars has to allign so that cap makes a difference in performance.
Blur - either visual setting or bug. Prob will be fixed.
I personally can't call that clear p2w situation.
the one the battlepass preview shows me, has a regular RDS though

Meh, doesn't quite rise to a level of concern for me.
If I lose a gunfight to someone with that sight I'll take the L and not feel cheated.
Start messing with stats then I may care.
BF2042 already has several forms of P2W that offer greater advantages. Big, low input lag monitors. Controllers with back buttons. PC. Wake me up when the in-game features start to offer advantages greater than these accepted forms of P2W.

the difference is those aren't coded into the game

True, but the end result is the same.
It's interesting to compare people's feelings on P2W game design versus P2W hardware.
I suppose since P2W game design has no ceiling and P2W hardware has diminishing returns is one factor. The bottom of each slippery slope looks very different and much scarier for P2W game design.
Then there's the feeling that the creator of the game has an extra obligation to ensure fairness - an obligation not shared by hardware vendors.
I think this sight is more upsetting for what it represents than what it actually is.
