Sundance's and McKay's ability and passive is entirely focused on themselves, same with Dozer and Paik...
sure they could use thei gadget slot to benefit the team i.E use a becon or ammo/health but unless their entire squad is playing the same specialist they help no one but themselves.
so more often then not a sundance will either have a becon to respawn faster or she uses the med-pen to stay alive longer since she does nto need a becon to get anywhere faster then anything but a yet...
and ofc one mroe bullet to kill makes all the difference in this game, in any FPS-game for that matter. now if HS would negate the armor i wouldn't mind but this is not how the game works
Now you're splitting hairs. Falck is directly to your point. Falck chooses to heal the guy next to you and runs off. Your next battle, that guy needs less bullets then you. Falck should be nerfed for the same reason Angel.
The fact is, each specialist has an advantage based on the specialty. Whether it is movement, nades, AI assist, protection, healing. Singling out 1 because your teammates wont share is a bogus reason for a nerf. It is selfish.
This game works better when everyone works as a team. I think everyone here will agree, but the reality is, unless youre playing with friends or your Coms are with a cooperative group, that just doesn't happen. Most players are scoreboard hores only goal is to top the board and epeen.
I cannot tell you how many times Angel, Falck has run by me, with an opportunity to revive me, and they don't. I have been #1 in stats with 3 revives. That is because people playing Falck are healing themselves only. This is a team game, but people pay their money for their personal enjoyment.
Nerfing because you are not getting a benefit is wrong. Period. No defense.
by your logic we should abandon everything and copy the COD model of free choosing a primary and secondary and that is it...
angel and boris where absolutely overused because they were just easy to exploit.
nerfing something because it breaks the game does benefit everyone and like it or not apparently your viewpoint is in the minority and most players agree with this change....
i just can nto think of a way to make armor plates fun for people on both sides of teh engagement if oyu can please point me in the direction

while with angel you had to assume everyone has it, there was no way around it.
but please keep pointing out this stuff instead of offering a differetn solution - 4 years ago

If you can exit combat, which isnt always easy. Falck just Falcked you.....
not to the 120 you get wioth an armor plate,
I am not sure of the mechanics. You dont heal your armor plate. If youre down to 20, the plate is gone so healing isnt an issue in this
depending on the engagement range it does flat out add one or two bullets to kill.
Not really when you consider the firing rate. The difference is 1 or 2 bullets to hit. Let us do a little fact finding. What effects 20 health has- 2 bullets - G57 (burst fire) (ROF 450) This is rounds per minute. That is 7.5 rounds per second.

The only exploiting of Boris was when they propped up the gun in front of them while they squatted in a corner and the ability to drop a gun when you die. The AI wasnt an exploit, it was a design flaw. AI should never be more powerful then the players. Giving armor to one and not another is not an exploit.

Player support characters only support when there is a weekly. I cannot force someone to support me. I suggest you play in groups like I do. Usually we get 3-4 players, and 1 of us plays a Falck, and one plays an Angel. 2 in our group was from a random Squad that used Coms well. We traded info, now theyre in our Discord.
1 bullet for any gun is not OP.

A bad example because you seemed to base your response in it.

You're creation of a problem is based on an issue that is a .1 second issue and labeling it OP! There isn't an issue. If you want armor, play Angel. Problem Solved. Oh wait, but you want your favorite specialists ability AND Angels...... And you call Angel OP.....

okay so lets play the G57 out then.
- as you pointed out it needs two burst to kill a full HP target with armor that takes an extra burst so lets ignore armor for a second and put the TTK into perspective
- G57 has a TTK of 534ms going up to a 668ms
- the K30 has a TTK of 218ms going up to 382ms
- now we can see weapons liek the K30 do not care if you have armor or not in this situation, for better comparision lets look at the VCAR vs the G57, both having a ROF of 499
- so the VCAR has a TTK ranging from 267ms up to 668
- here you can see one extra BTK will make a much bigger impact on the gunfight, making it much more likely that the player with the extra 20HP will win
now you can claim the burst make up for it but i say it does not because while the burst has a ROF of 999 inbetween burst is a long delay effectively butting your ROF down to 184 so since the burst fires 3 bullets having to wait that delay will mean the difference between winning and loosing.
you claim everyone just whines about specialists but this was primary argument of you was 1 extra BTK means nothing but it is not always one extra BTK and sicne 2042 has a much longer engagement distance then other games before it biols down to two extra BTKs just as often and that is nothing to ignore if we talk additional 100-200ms.
regarding Boris turret-nerf vs angel having unlimited access to a flat out 20HP without needing an animation like Falks stim pistol yes Angel ability is flat out better that is why we had uch an oversaturation of Angel vs Falk and i argue most players picking Falk are doing so more for a teamplay aspect then those who picked Angel. Both could revive anyone equally fast only Angel gave everyone the plate on top raising their HP form the intended 50 upon revive to 70, ontop of having the autoheal giving them upon fully recharging 120HP.
i argue having such a demand for flat out extra 20HP is wanting the EZ mode but hey opinions can differ, yet it is an indisputibal advantage we agree on that i think. now if the advantage is given out by Angel or having to do a trade off is a difference in my book. if you still want your armor you can have it as i told OP all you need is to use that as you gadget you even get 2 plates to give yourself after the first is lost....
sicne you claim my readabilty argument is an opinion how do oyu tell if your opponent has a plate before shooting? i mean its my opinion you can not read this situation, how do you do it?
who says i want Falks ability and Angel infinite armor plate`? if i wanted that i would've just played Angel from launch and used the med pen to have infinite heals...
yes Angel was overused because of how easily he can just do it all.- need healing as Angel? make a loadout with the med-crate or pen and you are good to go
- need C5 ? make a loadout and equipp it and change back to whatever you used before....
this goes on and on.
all i want is a fun game and for me loosing gunfights because my oponent has 7 HP left after i shot him for 113 DMG was making it frustrating so i do think this is a change for the better

For the people in favor of the armor plates...
Do you find these plates satisfying/fun to use?
That''s my biggest issue with armor. It adds nothing to the entertainment factor. It's boring. And it puts pressure on others to adopt a boring gadget in lieu of more interesting options.

I suppose it is their function but I find armor plating to be way too inconsistent for regular gameplay - Years of muscle memory can be a major pain sometimes lol. While BF4 wasn't my all time favourite in the series, the use of squad perks/bonuses felt pretty good despite monkeying around with innate stats - BF1 utilized something similar and you always knew what perks someone was running

@AngrySquid270Lots of gadgets are useful but aren't necessarily fun. The spawn beacon is the most useful thing in this game but it's not necessarily fun. Yesterday the enemy team was constantly putting pressure on A2 on Orbital because they hid a spawn beacon in that building that I couldn't find. It was constant pressure on my team. Lots of things in this game put pressure on the enemy team. If every single teammate chooses rockets then they'll dominate the enemies vehicles. Everything is a tradeoff
