Hey all,
With the Season 3 Update we've made a major change related to vehicles through the introduction of new Vehicle Categories:
With the reworked allocation of Vehicles, you'll notice different availability between maps and modes.
In Breakthrough this means that we've made the decision to remove Jets and Attack Heli's from play for this mode. Air Transport remains available, but due to the linear layout of Breakthrough we feel a focus on ground warfare offers the best gameplay experience. In our observation we also noticed that Air Attack was overly dominant in this mode, while having little room little room to navigate due to the smaller and linear layout of Breakthrough.
Conquest will still have all vehicle types available for play if you're keen to jump into Jets, or Attack Heli's.
Lastly, we understand this is a change to gameplay and will require getting used to. We'll carefully continue monitoring how this plays out, and we're open to your feedback about how you feel the new Vehicle Categorization is playing out now that Season 3 is available for play.

Removing the jets and attack helicopters from breakthrough entirely was a godawful idea. Please put them back in as soon as possible.
Some of us are refusing to even play conquest in 2042 because it just feels bad on most maps (too much travel time for infantry).
Air attack was dominant because there were only helicopters around and no jets to stop them while the Wildcat slots were taken by Main battle tank users. Both of these issues are addressed by the vehicle category changes
Plus we now also have infantry railguns to mess up the helicopters with. Just a few determined players on a team will delete any helicopter that comes near with these.
The data that you based the removal of the helicopters and jets on Breakthrough are already outdated with the railguns and the vehicle categories changing the entire air to ground balance from pre 3.0
Please guys be reasonable and put the aircraft and helis back on in Breakthrough.
Changes like these are too big to not put them on test on a featured experience portal first.
Breakthrough is a derivative of the epic BF1 Operations and it deserves to have all the possible vehicles in the maps that are not infantry only.
BFV was damaged a lot by major untested changes like the BTK changes that happened and went. Please do not do that on 2042 too
