Honest question -
How do good jet pilots typically get killed?
Give me a list with the top 5 ways along with a rough percentage for each.
I suspect good jet pilots are rarely dying to anything on the ground. And I suspect a good jet pilot rarely looses to Heli's.
So that just leaves transports and other jets as the primary threats for jets, correct?

@AngrySquid270 Typically? I die more to myself crashing into the ground. (I'm not joking, I crash and burn to learn how far I can push the aircraft's physics to narrowly avoid collisions, I've done this in every Battlefield) What kind of question are you asking? The Wildcat is also quite good vs the Jet. You don't chance flying around a good Wildcat. Enemy Apaches are also good at picking you off if they see you've recently used your flares.
My issue with giving you a straight forward answer to your question is that I'd have to ask you, do you mean before or after 1.0.0 because 1.0.0 totally butchered Jet gameplay, or what was left of it anyway.I can tell you one thing, Transport Helicopter Miniguns pose the exact same threat to other Air Attack Vehicles. The only exception is the Huron/Hannibal if it has a Gunner to use the EMP. Otherwise it's also easy prey for the Transport Helis.
Maybe 2042 is just a different game, where Jets don't deserve the same level of distinction they once had, sadly.

@S3SSioN_SoL I'm basically asking how jets fit into the rock, paper, scissor dynamic...post 1.0.
If jets are paper, then what is their scissor?
Transports appear to be the answer to that question. And if that's the case I don't find much objectionable - shouldn't every playstyle have a natural counter?

@AngrySquid270Let me reframe your perspective.
For a Jet to kill a Transport Heli, it would need to strafe at least 3 times, taking into account for misses like I did in the video and assuming there's no one repairing it.
This is also assuming, the enemy Air Attack Vehicle is concerned with something else, which often the case is seldom.
For a Transport Heli to kill a Jet, it would need to 2 good gunners (or even 1 that interswitches between the Cannon and lands a shot if they're lucky, furthermore, the pilot can do it themselves, I've done it, so that's just 1 person), ready for the Jet and the Pilot simply pressing the Key to ascend to the sky ceiling.
The Jet currently takes up the only Air Attack Vehicle slot. There are TWO slots for the Hind/Condor.
There is no conceivable way that a Jet, even without making a single mistake can take on both enemy Transport Helis at the same time if those crews are aware of just how much firepower they wield versus aircraft.
What exactly screams balanced about that?

It is well known that the only real threat to a good jet pilot in a BF game are jets and flag poles, trees and antennas.
