@c6d3ebb723bdb4a0 Camping has been a big problem in BF5 and now BF2042. Previous games also had camers, but to much lesser extent.
In BF5 Dice gave campers too many overpowered tools. Mines, MMGs, AMRs, OP shotguns and such.
2042 people camp because (I'm about to offend pretty much everyone) almost everyone is bad at this video game.
With so many kids crying and complaining that the're getting killed from hundreds of meters away by a pistol, someone turning around and killing them even though they unloaded 50 rounds into them and such. So instead of actually getting better, people nowadays prefer to just give up and camp in a corner. And since there are twice as many people, sitting in a corner somewhere around hot spot pretty much guarantees someone will pass you by every 30 seconds.
Also the fact that you can have an insane amount of spotting devices doesn't help. Someone can be sitting in a bush with a 100 meter radius under the radar with TUGs, motion ball, drone or X6
