I do agree it would be nice to have that option for people to see which api is going to give better performance on their machine.
However, I certainly wouldn't hold my breath. I highly doubt they add dx11. They'll be focusing on optimizing dx12You won’t see dx11 am afraid.
Tend to find stuff like that had to be incorporated from the ground upDice did fix DX12 in BFV and for me it actually ran a lot better than DX11 (on both an NVidia 1080 and 2080TI). It wasn't like BF1, where DX12 was never really fixed.
There is no reason why Dice should put DX11 in the game. If they have removed it from the engine it would mean a lot of work which would be taken from elsewhere.
And why? A good optimized DX12 game is at least as fast as DX11 and DX12 has potential for being faster than DX11.
