All these clickbait stuff are done because youtube algorithm at the momment favorise negative contents on BF .. So all these low level youtubers try to get on the " hate train " and BS peoples with bogus claims and news and some clickbait tittles ... So yeah

@Stew360And it’s working sadly. I know numerous people now who never played the game and say it is bad. They say it is bad on PS4 too. (I play a lot of BF2042 on my PS4 slim and it is a great game, few bugs but nothing major). People can be influenced soooo easily. Youtube went overboard with the negative campaign, daily bad bad BF2042 videos. I think by now youtube contributes to the state of BF2042. So many people left the game (and never even tried to play) because of these negative videos. Because the player base diminishes, the publisher might drop the game. They might have fixed it, but because of youtube they might not. Who knows? Youtube creators are disgusting at this point. When i hear them say ‘please subscribe and hit the bell’ i could barf.

Sadly many peoples are perrots and sheeps in many instances they like following trend and what they perceive as the " trend " or the popular narative .. So they repeate it or beleive it to be the truth ..
I can understand that for peoples without any patience if they play BF2042 and get compleatly oblitarated or farmed by GOod players or by Vehicles or helicopters they will get angry and will rage quit the game blaming the game for their short comming .. But they understand nothing about how easy it is to destroy helicopters and tanks and how chalenging it is to truely do some huge run in those ..

YT didn't run any kind of negative campaign against the game, EA, or DICE. EA+DICE simply released a game that was too far from its core. Combined with it's bugs across all platforms, lack of content, lack of support, and a lack of transparency with, probably one of the largest FPS players bases, generated their own negative responses to the product they created. YT, these forums, Twitter, Reddit, and other social platforms became the places where frustrated players vented their frustrations and they have a right to.
There is an "algorithm" mentioned earlier that YT/Google/Alphabet uses to place ads for ad revenue. They could care less on what the content is. If BF2042 videos were the flavor of the month you bet there are going to drop those clips into your suggested videos with ads because so many people are watching, sharing, and commenting on what is popular. If the game wasn't in such a poor state right now there would be no reason to have these discussions.
People don't come to game forums to sing praises to developers for making a great game and experience, they simply play it and have fun. People come to complain or get insight on what the game is like. I suggest to just play the game and resist commenting. Any signal to bolster the game is going to be met with resistance. Player counts and servers populated with bots don't lie. It is the current BF2042 experience.

@JOGAGATYA Glad you like the game as is and are enjoying it. However there are many (including myself) that don't. I have played BF since BF2 and BF2142, but if I had played 2042 blind without knowing what it is, I would have said COD Warzone (or someone trying to copy it).
The player base is not reducing because of YouTubers, it is reducing because it is (in many peoples' opinion) the worst they have ever released. Not because of the bugs (that happens every release) but because it just doesn't provide enjoyment for them. It feels like a bad copy of COD Warzone, with a bit of APEX and The Division mixed in. It does not feel like Battlefield.
Yes I have the game and yes I have played it. Not sure I ever will again, but keep coming back to the forums for news, just in case.
- @Rusty Rat I would question your assertion around players "not leaving because of youtube" and even extend that to people not buying the game because of them.
Just look at the forums.
There are numerous people that have stated that they don't need to play because "YouTube videos", indeed I would say that if a person's 'favorite youtuber' says it is rubbish they will believe them even if in reality they think it isn't that bad.
YouTubeers have a lot to answer for in my opinion and hold to much sway.
@Stew360 I wish that was true. Unfortunately the reason that the algorithm favours negative reviews on BF2042, is that it is very hard to find a positive one.
I love the BF franchise, having played form BF2 and BF2142, I have, for now at least, given up playing 2042 as something I can find no enjoyment in playing. I keep coming back looking for news on the future of 2042 and anything that might save it, but unfortunately, it seems not even EA has anything positive to say, to they remain quiet.

@Mo3tazibrahim A fix would be great, because I have loved playing previous releases (except Hardline) in the most part, but prefer the older BFs before BF1. My worry is that if they cannot find a resolution, we may lose the franchise altogether. I just don't know how they can fix it other than basically starting again, which is not going to happen.
