This is my opinion towards BF2042 since this is the closest I can get to reaching EA. BF2042 is still fun to play but needs work just like any game released. I don’t know what the problem is with everyone getting mad like of course a game will have issues when released that’s why updates will be rolling out. Every other BF game had issues when released and guess what the developers did. Listened to players and released updates. People nowadays want a game that’s perfect on release day, it’s not gonna happen. There will be issues and updates will roll out and the game will be even better. All I want is for the developers to take their time on BF2042 and roll out content for the fans. Take your time on the game EA. @theeross13This view is exactly why AAA games is in the state it is. Companies think they can sell lies and broken games with the promise of patches because of this attitude. EA/DICE lied when they said they were "ahead of schedule ", they lied when they said it was a love letter to fans (it was a failed hero shooter that they sold as BF), and they continue to drag out the eventual death of this "game" (read: con) by way of half-assed patches. In all honesty, they would garner a liiitttllle bit of respect if they just said, "it's a bust" and straight up put it out of its misery. I'm pretty sure whichever poor dev pulled the short straw would also appreciate it.

@theeross13 season 1 is coming this summer. Which means june at earliest.Seasons is not promising a lot of content either. I miss expansion/premium pass.All you get these days are a cool beany and some skins. In this paste it will be 1-2 maps a year.

@Zoikon there is no way S1 is coming in June. They are releasing a major update next week, so they will need at least one dot build before S1. That puts S1 in mid-July at the earliest.

i mean if you like it all the power to you but to just go and say you can not understand the problem is baffeling to me.

I understand the problem. I just wanna know why they haven’t been releasing stuff sooner. My one co worker says the new content is coming in June. If that’s the case then that’s absurd. I’m relatively patient when it comes to games for example Cyberpunk. I still played the game when it was just straight trash and then they came out with a next gen version and updated the heck out of it and it’s a really fun game. That’s what I want with BF is for them to have big updates with major fixes. I just hope the new content makes players come back

@theeross13I am sure I will get a lot of flak for saying this but in my opinion, they would have released season 1 earlier than this summer but they wanted to try to appease the hate they were getting by implementing the legacy features like scoreboard and VOIP. I personally had/have fun with the way the game was/is when it launched. But I also wonder if they weren't ahead of schedule and were actually behind and they decided to go a different direction mid way through the game development and they didn't have anything at all to offer for season 1 and are stalling to work on season 1 content.

That could be a reason. I wonder if they have said anything about the delay. If not then we need to know what the heck is going on

@theeross13 It's more of a reading between the lines kind of deal I think. You can sort of see it with the weekly rewards which have been given away so far being winter based (they might even be called winter season in some cases if memory serves).

@Adamonic Maybe their version numbering is just the month that it releases. So v4 is because it is April, if they release a patch in May it will be v5 or something... don't ask when a year changes over though, lol.
