Engineers still have 3 C5 though -- just play as an Engineer.....
- YourLocalPIumber1 year agoSeasoned Ace@SirRod1670 You know what also takes the fun out of the game? Having over half the lobby with C5 flying across the map using a magic wingsuit, spawning in bushes, dropping from pondhawks, jumping around corners on top of you using grapple and killing you with C5 while you have 0 chance to fight back.

It's a bit annoying, but not as annoying (imo) as Casper's drone being nerfed, that is baffling.
With the reintroduction of Classes, the Engineer has always been focussed on vehicles, should the other classes have access to C5 at all?
I agree that vehicles have been given a buff with the recent patch, but I can't pretend it doesn't drive me up the wall when I eventually get hold of a vehicle, only to have it blown to pieces within minutes by three classes that can all carry 3 blocks of C5. At least if I'm damaged by 2 I can try to retreat and repair, and isn't that really the point - to keep vehicles in the game longer, but make the driver a bit more careful.
I can't see this being changed back.

In past BF titles only 1 infantry class could solo destroy vehicles, and in most cases C5 or Dynamite was exclusive to only 1 class as well. BF 2042 had 3 classes being able to solo destroy vehicles, so limiting the C5 on 2 classes (Assault and Recon) takes away this. It emphasizes the anti-vehicle role of the engineer class more.
I abused it too, grapple hooking with Mackay onto a tank, 3 C5 and BOOM! Flying across the map with Sundance to land behind that camping vehicle, 3 C5 and BOOM! And whilst I had fun doing this I can live with this change as it brings back the traditional way of playing Battlefield. Is your team being bothered by a vehicle, switch to engineer and you still will be able to solo destroy that vehicle!

@UP_LordPlumberOMG can people stop with this "0 chance to fight back" nonsense, it's just made up by whining vehicle drivers. Someone putting down C5 is incredibly exposed and super easy to take out. Just learn how to aim and shoot.
