FAQ

What is the Weekly Radar?

The Battlefield 2042 Weekly Radar is all about keeping track of Weekly Missions, Community Events, Featured Experiences, and rewards that you can earn within a particular week in Battlefield 2042. Each week we'll be including a new thread within our Announcement section of the Community Forums, and you'll see the Community Team sharing it across the web so that you remain in the know about things you can expect to do within the game.

When will you post it?

You can expect the Weekly Radar to be posted every Tuesday or Thursday at 12 UTC when the majority of these changes take place within the game!

Can I get involved with the Weekly Radar as a player?

While still early days, we will be reaching out to regular communities that host Community Events to see if we can support them within the Weekly Radar. If you're fab at creating ingame screenshots, we'll be on the lookout to showcase your creations within some of the assets we create too!

Can I still progress towards last weeks Weekly Missions?

Yes, absolutely. Every Week we will introduce a new set of Weekly Missions, but these will be live throughout the entire season and you can work towards them at your own pace! Bonus Missions are unique to a specific week.

  • @T0TALfps Retribution is great but needs to be longer than 20 minutes.

Since we can't have BT128 back, can we at least get Retribution or Frontlines as a permanent mode with Breakthrough?

This is probably one of the best custom mode so far ! My favorite was Flashback Breakthrough a couple months ago. A 16 v 16 infantry focused mode with no vehicules, only problem was it was only on 2 maps, but for me was the closest exerience to Frontlines. This week's mode also reminds me a bit of Frontline, but there are couple of issues that ruins the experience in my opinion.

First, when the attackers win an objective, they win tickets (enemy lose some too) but they don't win time, which means the whole round should be won in the initial 20 minutes frame (which is pratically impossible) The closest we got was to the last mcom (and I can assure you we blitzkrieg that game !!) But even pushing like crazy you don't have enough time to win a match as the attackers. Also, the area each team can go should be restricted, some players (mostly new players and I don't blame them for that) don't know what to do and are either camping the last points we already got (thinking somebody is gonna take it back) or, I've seen it, go all the way to the enemy spawn a couple kms ahead, waiting for I don't know what xD

So my suggestions for a better flow of the game, restrict the area so that players can focus on the (unique) point to cap (in a 64 or 128 game it's not a big deal, but when you are 16 in a team and half of it is just lurking around you just can't do anything) and maybe add 5 more minutes to the timer for each point cap, so that you can go through as an attacker and eventually win the match

  • I really have enjoyed retribution this week, but I thought the same way of what alot of people have said.  That retribution should be 32 vs. 32 and attackers should be awarded extra time added to the timer when they take an objective.  Just waiting for next week when breakthrough chaos is added because I really do miss the 64 vs. 64 breakthrough mode.   Plus,  rush xl should be permanent.
