Battlefield 7
So it's confirmed that season 7 will be the last for BF 2042. With development ramping up for BF7, what are the things we want?
Well... there's a lot to be learned from BF2042, by no means do I, a BF veteran consider this a BF game. Is it any good? It can be, but it ain't exactly my cup of tea, stopped playing it when season 5 came out. Why don't I enjoy it?
1. Lack of destruction
2. Poor gun customization
3. Bland sound design
4. The graphics are somehow worse than BFV or even BF1 IMO
5. The content drops post launch.... horrible
6. Battle pass system- modern games have become a second JOB, want that cool legendary tier 100 skin, you better play 50 hours to unlock it or "f##k you, give me money" as Joe likes to say.
What I'd like to see in the next BF game?
1. I'm an addict when it comes to destruction games, don't mess up the destruction in BF 7
2. Customization- I would like to see ATLEAST COD level of gun customization, something like the gunsmith system, but i would LOVE to see Tarkov like gun customization. Let us make our soldier look cool, I want my military themed games to stay that way, I don't want to see no Fortnite stuff. (NO STUPID SANTA OR CLOWN SKINS)
3. The sound design needs to be PUNCHY and somewhat loud-ish. In BF2042 the sound design is comperable to a watered down soup. BF1 has a lot of meat and potatos in it's soup when compared to BF2042.
4.Graphics wise I'd like it to be dark and gritty and of course it needs that BF1 atmosphere.
5. Oh how I miss the days when we had premium BF editions. Seeing where games are now with the live service system... I just want premium back. Remember when we would get 4 new maps 6 new guns, new gadgets and vehicles PER expansion and 3 or 4 expansions PER YEAR? Good times.
6. A GOOD AMOUNT OF CONTENT AT LAUNCH
7. First person takedowns
8. Maybe instead of a Battle royale mode, add a proper mil sim mode like Squad or Arma 3 that is F2P.
9. Immersive animations- COD MWII absolutely NAILED the animations, I truly felt like a professional military guy, the reloading and inspection, running and diving animations were satisfying. Im not saying you should copy COD, try to do your own thing, but do it right.
I just don't want another RUSHED BF game. If you can't finish your game by october or novembre, then just DELAY it. It took you what.... 7 months to release BF2042 1.0? The way it was supposed to launch. You surely DON'T need to release the BF games at the end of the year if it's not ready. I hope you take your time with the next game, I hope i won't see the next BF game until summer or autumn 2026. 2025 autumn release is just not enough development time.
