- @lzilchetl So what would be the official timeframe for such a thread be? This might be good for future reference.
- @GrizzGolf I'm hoping Bf2042 surprises me and has good gameplay, new enjoyable maps, gotten rid of the linear gameplay we all hated in BF1 and BF5 and I hope for decent airplanes.
Ideally we get mod support, but I very much doubt that's going to be released.
BF portal is promising with 1942 maps coming back. However, I generally dislike developers bringing back old content instead of creating new. It feels a bit cheap and I wonder why I have to 'settle' for something I played 20 years ago.
Don't get me wrong, I loved 1942 and I still think it's one of the best games I have ever played and I genuinely feel sorry for people that started playing BF at let's say BF3 or BF4 releases. However, I'd much rather play good NEW content. - lzilchetl4 years agoSeasoned Ace

By definition it would need to run alongside the Beta and we have no idea of when that would be. @carsono311 seems to have a bit of insight and suggests it will get its own thread. At the moment we only have the discussion thread in Battlefield 2024 forum. Perhaps the beta threat is the introduction of the forum opening up.

That could be possible

Let's all be honest here, whilst this thread has been created with the best intentions, we all know the forums will be absolutely spammed with whinge threads within 5 minutes of the Beta being released.
Most of them will be about the same thing as well!
(Can't wait for all the nerf threads, deep joy!)
A better sticky thread would be 'USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION!'.

@lzilchetlWhat usually happens is once the Beta pre-load is available, EA AHQ will also open up a separate forum page for the Beta. This separate forum would be where announcements and discussion about the Beta can take place as well as a Bug Reports page.
- lzilchetl4 years agoSeasoned Ace@carsono311 Thanks. Looking forward to writing/reading about real things - getting a bit tired of the unnecessary angst and insecurity!
- carsono3114 years agoSeasoned Ace@lzilchetl Agreed. Hope to see you in the Beta!
