And if they stay quiet, without adding a server browser, all those people who had their fingers crossed will reconsider what it means to trust Dice to do the right thing.
2042, at this point, is less a game and more an exercise in Dice burning up decades worth of trust in them as a studio.
@TAW_Rinkothey released a game in an alpha state with barely any content, and the seasonal content is about thin as it can get for a AAA title.
They stopped development on this game in mid-December. All they did is break up Season 1's content, which was already done, into 4 seasonal packages.
We are also only getting one map rework per season. That is a few weeks of work and testing that they have now taken months to complete. This tells me there are only 2-3 devs left on this game and they are very inexperienced.
Also, actions speak louder than words, and their silence on Server Browser should tell us all we need to know.

Yup there's no way, they don't have more than a skeleton crew working on repairs. The timeline for content and changes is just insane, 1 map after 6 months! Back to Karkand released 1 month after BF3's release!
They should outsource map design to another team. Screw the excuses of map design taking so long.

Everything has been a business decision since December. Once the launch bombed, they quickly shifted to breaking up whatever content they already had into 4 seasons. There was zero new development from that point on.
You got one junior dev working the maps and specialists changes (that is why it will take until S2 to see 2 maps changed and the Specialist's beards) and one doing bug fixes. Between those 2, they created the fake scoreboard and added the VOIP. That's it. That is why there has been zero new content.
Even the CMs, they are probably also serving as janitors or security guards or have other duties unrelated to this game.

Remember pre-launch marketing BS when they stated that 2042 would be a Love Letter to previous BF installments? And here we are today with so little to which resembles previous titles.
Honestly, at this point I'd forget about server browsers or any update which would make good on that Love Letter promise.
