Battlefield Going Open World
This is a rumor so take with a grain of salt but what is your opinion about Battlefield going open world? I'm personally not real thrilled. Next Battlefield Game Could Be Open World (msn.com)

@JOGAGATYA I agree that big maps can be fun if there's a lot of vehicles. I requested DICE add more vehicles to the big maps in 2042 but they said it couldn't be done due to 'memory storage limitations'.
I specifically wanted more transport vehicles so infantry didn't have to walk great distances between objectives.
Unfortunately DICE said that wasn't possible so we got a walking simulator instead. 🥺

@OskooI_007 I actually don't mind waiting for vehicles to become available. I always play with friends while talking on the mic. Getting stuck on the field with friends and figuring out a way to get somewhere is part of the fun for me. Exposure is an amazing map for all this. I feel there are enough vehicles in the game. I would not say no to more though .

I would not say no to more though .It's definitely relative I suppose, if you're stuck without a vehicle because of some kind of user error then it's perfectly fine, but the problem I'd wager is that 2042 failed to learn from the problems in previous Battlefield titles, the whole point of the vehicle call-in system with the tablet was to eradicate that limbo where you're stuck without a vehicle. But that tablet in my opinion, never really amounted to anything besides vehicles ending up on rooftops.
I know I am in minority here but I actually don't mind if there's no vehicles available and I am stuck on a field under a tree and have to wait. It's part of the fun. I also think calling in vehicles anywhere in the game added to the fun at least for me. The game is more interesting. Leads to things like going up in an elevator and when the door opens there's a tank in front of you. Never had this much fun game in my life.
I think there's two types of battlefield gamers these days. There's the Enders type (run and gun, hates vehicles and snipers and big maps) and then there's the Squid G type. I definitely belong in the latter category.
