I thought the gameplay footage underwhellmed a litle bit, only because it really didnt give me pov movement and graphic details I needed to see which reflects the majority of the perpective you actually view the game. It was so chaotic that if the game is just that chaotic, I am a little nervous. I expect ultrarealism from a 5th generation playstation, the reveal didnt quite give me that, honestly a bit arcadeish. Since its pre alpha, I will give it the benefit of the doubt and hope it dethrones COD MW. COD MW has great grahics, but missed the mark where BF4 dominated; map size and match type options. Anything less than ultrarealism will be so dissapointing to me. I cant wait see beta video, I can make a decision instantly if I will like the game or not. Based on the latest reveal, I have no idea. This game will determine how soon I will get a PS5, so Sony and Dice have a lot riding on this.

can we agree its still a videogame...!? Ofcourse it will look arcardish... I think we are still 30-40 years from getting ultra-realistic VR-experience for videogames...The footage looked surprisingly well IMO.

In my opinion the game play trailer had very little actual gameplay in terms of physics, infantry engagements, etc. It was really just another well produced action trailer. I have to give them credit though they're creating a LOT of hype for this game. I don't think the actual game play for PVP will be anywhere near this but if it is I'll eat my words. What I do hope for is gameplay that Is fairly bug and glitch free, good TTK/TTD ( unlike BF5's abhorrent lightning fast TTD, deaths around corners, etc.), and great maps. Bring on the betas...

The gameplay looks fun and I'm excited. The graphics look good, but Hour Glass is a visual assault on the eyes.

Out of the entire gameplay reveal, only a total of 27 shots were fired from a gun. Other than a couple brief vehicle shots, the rest of the trailer was watching other people play.

@DDouble_Tap02 Its says "pre-alpha" right in the video. Trying to judge a game with about 5km² of map area on a three minute video is jumping the gun. We have almost 5 months before release, let's see what happens.

I've said PC died when BF4 came out. Never should a game be nurf to cater to new players and that just what BF4 did and since. PC players aren't suppose to be soft players and expect to play against the best of the best. Actually, the PC players started getting soft when BF3 came out and started whining like baby's. Again something hard core PC players don't do. Usually you take your lumps getting better, but instead the game got better for the player starting in BF4. Plus a xbox controller shouldn't be an option for PC, but a joy stick. NFP came out with a 30 fps cap on the PC when 60 has always been the minima and 120hz monitors where out. So a 30 fps was a slap to the PC face. The first thing I saw was it said Xbox. So console is pretty much rubbing out the PC, and the way PC games use to be use. It looked like a children's game and focus on console and more fast pace run/gun like COD. As for PC it just looks like they were showing off what the new cards can look like, but underneath it looked like crap and too much explosion and weather effecting the game play. Unless played on console and the PC version looks better. So too much focus on visual to help push the over price gpus and dieing PC. And too much chaotic run/gun fast past style like COD rather then BF. Think I rather just buy a console, since games favor them. Well there's still BF2, BC2 and BF3-4 for PC, but the players are soft and they helped ruined PC. Console seems to have more games, if I'm not mistaking. 2k for a gpu they have to be kidding.

@DDouble_Tap02I thought the gameplay reveal was great. It was short though. I expected a longer glimpse at it.

But realism? Nah just give me Battlefield...especially in a title called Battlefield 2042. Why would you expect realism in a futuristic title with a completely fictional faction lore and overall state of the world?

Battlefield is at it's best when they can just do whatever they think is fun for gameplay.

Arcadeish I mean splashy colors cartoonish, like call of duty early games or there new cold war. As far as uktra realisticI meant double that of BF1 and BF5 which had a nice realistic feel to it based on the Betas I played. Didnt play either of those being a modern warfare only person.

I dont mind a fast time to kill my accuracy is pretty good, I just couldnt stay on target long enough to finish of the kill(BF4). As soon as they side step, I was dead after me firing the first shot. I hated ttk BF4...COD MW ttk is perfect, hope they match that at least.
