I recommend you open a support ticket, there is another sub-forum for BF 2042 "bug reports" where you can open a support ticket.
You will need to put in a bunch of information, but hopefully they are able to resolve it.

Unfortunately they weren't able to find a solution.
If you are unable to get it fixed, it should be possible to refund it and then purchase it with another account that doesn't have restrictions.
But I'd only recommend this if you already have multiple playstation plus accounts, otherwise you will be having to pay an additional monthly fee for the new playstation plus account.
