But since it really seems to matter so much to you here´s my resumé.
I have played Battlefield games since 2002 when it all started with Battlefield 1942 wich I also played competitive in a clan, whe where in the top 20´s out of 250 clans on clanbase at the time.
I also spent a lot of time modding that game, mostly creating maps for the Silent Heroes mod. After that i´ve played most Battlefield games except some console exclusives like BC1 and Modern Combat and also Hardline whas not my cup of tea so I never tried that either, but the rest ivé spent significant time playing.
I dont keep count on how many hours I spend in every game because I frankly dont care as long as i´m having fun and I dont care for braging how much gametime I have.
So do I know this franchise better than any other? No I dont, what I do know is that I love this franchise, it has been my go-to multiplayer game for 20 years. And I know that me as well as many other want not only this game to get as good as it can but also upcoming games after this. And that wont happend if we dont voice our oppinions.
And I do hope that if Dice and EA wants to know why their playebase is crumbling so that it wont happend for their next game.
I agree, hours are irrelevant.
- 4 years ago@Blackidus I was a kid when BF1942 was released , so no! xP
Ouch, MS paint nice! The software was very simple, click and drag icons, draw pathways etc.
@Stew360
That's claim is BS! I'm not falling for your bait man... - 4 years ago
@BlackidusAlso you joined in 2016 that BF1 era also you see BF4 as a gold standard lol please explain how BF4 was rock paper scissor and how the classes with the 2 cutumizable slots were rock paper scissor ? And taking in account you could grab anyones kit on the ground ?
Also here was the start of the mess that was BF4 BETA wich was as bad if not worst at launchAlso i dont beleive youve ever played any BF prior to BF1 or BF4 at best

Here ya go, my physical collection with your pointless post in the background, proof enough?
I have more lying around somewhere but I cant be bothered to look for them for you.
I might have joined the forums by 2016 but that does not mean I Have not been playing Battlefield games since then.
For the rock-paper-scissors:
https://twitter.com/battlefield/status/1013876344604823552
"Balanced rock-paper-scissors gameplay has always been the foundation of the Battlefield series"
Classes means allthough for example scouts might be good at long range they also have the drawback of being worse for close range.
Assalut will be good at taking out vehicles and medium range fighting but would be worse at close/long range and relies on support and medics for resupplies.
And as the enemy you knew what you where facing and how to counter them. And yeah you could pick up others kits, but first you need to kill that player.
But this is a discussion for your other thread.
- 4 years ago@Blackidus And a Mckay with a sniper vs a mckay flanking him with a K30 does this " rock papper scissor " things disapears ? Or when i decide to equip anti infantry 30mm instead of miniguns am i as efficient in A to A ? this so call concept of tock paper scissor even exist in COD and had nothing to do with classes it also even exist in the same weapon categories Take a PBX vs K30 both smg wich one has more dps super close ? K30 wich one is more stable and better ay medium range ? PBX ..
Sorry you did not made your point across mate - 4 years ago
Ugh, I don't see the point arguing about a personal list someone made... This list is just made by 1 site, its not even official numbers.
Deathloop being 1, Back 4 Blood being on there (nearly nobody plays that anymore), A previous COD, Destiny 2?
I'll make a list too:
Top 3 Games to avoid buying currently:
1. Battlefield 2042
2. Cyberpunk 2077
3. New World
There, just as valid as another person's list...

Can you imagine something that has graphics like this:
Ranking better than BF2042 - says a lot about gameplay
- 4 years ago@Blackidus
I didnt knew that BF4 had some sort of classes # limitation .. but oh wait it did not .. so the team composition was totally randoms
Oh and BF4 recons could equip Snipers, Scouts , Carbines and shotguns ... mmm odd isnt it ?
So the recon were not rock paper scissor anymore in your gold standard BF4 were they ? Also a support could equip anything in the LMG , carbines , shotguns and DMR range .. thats a lots of ranges my man .. and a lots of different rock paper scissor stew we are talking about here mate .. What about suport kit upgrades predictability ? aka passive ?
What about the custumizable gadjets slots ? Where a support could decide not even to have AMO and just equip a XM25 and a mortar camping off limites trying to farm kills from a position no ones can kill him ..
Or a assault who decide to have no defibrilator no med packs etc..
So yeah where was the Rock paper Scissor in that compare to BF2042 ?
It was the same thing mate .. SMgs in BF2042 are the " carbines " that any specialist can have X and Y guns dosnt change the way battles work you still have snipers , still have Smgs flankers , Still have LMG sprayers , still have Scouts players and still have shot gunners and so on ..
And the " rock paper scissor remain the same as per choices of weapons .. just like you could switch kit on the ground or die and respawn with another classes or weapons you can do the same ..
You might want to reconsider your perspective and give the new system a fair go .. and revisit how BF4 was working - 4 years ago@Stew360 Oh i´m sorry I did not know whe where strictly speaking of BF4 classes here, guess I missed that part, wich I also dont like while we are at it. I did not like that there where some weapond classes that where shared across the classes but at least the gadgets where locked to the classes. One of the reasons BF4 is my least played Battlefield game.
Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V solved alot of the conerns I had with the classes, locked weapond types to classes and also, medic allways had heals and revives, support allways had ammo and repair, scout allways had spotting and anit-infantry gadgets, assault had anti-tank weaponds/gadgets.
You allways know what you are upp against and how to counter it when you recognize the enmies class. - 4 years ago
