Bf portal?? It hasnt really gone anywhere
With the mention of battlefield portal, I'll admit that I got really excited, I felt as though the game was going to have its issues, I had hoped that battlefield portal would have given it some life...

@LIGHthouseguard Portal was supposed to be a 'love letter' to BF fans.
I might have enjoyed BF2042 more if more maps from BC2/BF3/4 were released. I still do not understand why no maps from BF4 were released.
I hope that the next BF takes Portal to the next level, with many more maps, including some of the outstanding maps from BF1/3/4.

I completely agree with you, I hope that they continue with battlefield portal as well and that the next has got to do better. I was fortunate enough to get the game after a lot of stuff had been worked out so I didn't witness the launch disaster, but I was initially heavily turned away from the game because they were still going a little to futuristic for my taste, with hover crafts and such, tbch the very first thing I did in 2042 was start looking into the portal mode, I didn't even launch any actual games because I'd heard of lots of hackers and an overall mess of a game. I INSTANTLY fell in love with portal, yeah it does lack (quite a bit at that) but the fact I could combine what they had, and tweak vehicles, and weapons, and all that, it became a classic for me, but the fact that full XP isn't a thing, and weapons, gadgets, maps, vehicles and such from bf4, bf1, bfV is missing is just a shame. Maybe they'll bring it all together in the next iteration.
